NP, just install YSMENU. There's an autoboot R4.dat (which allows YSMENU to be the primary boot) somewhere on @retrogamefan's thread...
No prob, just a quick note: YSMENU won't be able to play some games with your card (including Pokemon BW/BW2) for unknown reasons. But, it is immune to the date softlock programmed into those cards...
@thatmanfromspace have the contents of your sd card laid out like this (TTMENU.SYS will generate itself after you boot YSmenu as primary kernel for the first time)
R4 cards usually have a "timebomb" on them, meaning when you reach a certain date the card will softblock itself and prevent you from using it, forcing you to buy a new one, it's a cheap tactic made by companies to force to you to buy a new flashcart every year, I heard setting the date back on your 3ds will let you use it again (they use the ds clock to tell if you've gone over the set date), but to be honest you're better off running wood or ysmenu in order to prevent the timebomb from ever happening.
How can i boot instantly to YsMenu? for now i can only boot YsMenu using the default R4 launcher. (To prevent the timebomb)
The r4.dat I linked you to. Just drag it to the root of your SD and you'll be fine...
Uh.. I think i bricked my microSD by doing that.. Now i can't read the microSD with my PC and it says Menu? when i try to use the R4
