Yeah I get it, but it wouldn't have hurt to give you an answer instead of you not getting one at all. And I have Mario Maker and in the U.S. region. I haven't played it in a LONG time though, is 1.46 the latest update or do I have to avoid updating?

Version 1.46 is the latest unfortunately, and the game forces you to update. After I initially updated to 1.46, I realized the code didn't work, so I tried copying the save from my USB stick to my Wii U in an attempt to play it on 1.45, but the option to skip wasn't there wasn't there. It was either update or return to the menu. It's a very recent update too -.-

Awesome! Finally something works haha. So, you're actually getting the DLC characters within the Character Select screen and they're working properly, even without the DLC bought?
well yea you can cheat the amount you have, but I don't have the address for the cheat but it exists
Please don't sue me for false advertisement, but i posted the wrong code yesterday for infinite Shield durability.
it's fixed now, but i thought id mention it before people start to panic too much.
ive also noticed, pretty much all of my Assembly based codes (the really long ones usually) will stop working if you go near or into Fort Hateno (this is halfway between Kakariko and Hateno vilage on the map)
dont know if this was just a one time deal, but essentially the game decides to use the memory region that i use for all of my assembly codes, and thus, all of my codes are constantly being overwritten by the games data. id recommend disabling most if not all of your codes while youre in this area, just to avoid crashes. but its up to you.

I recommend you to use the second code, so the Code isnt activated while not in a Level. So you have to Press R in each level to activate it.

I have tried using the second code and it did not give me the star upon pressing it. And I also discovered that my WHOLE save data, such as my published levels, my followers my likes and stars and EARNED NES COSTUMES were also deleted... yay Nintendo is back at it again!

In the Wii U sharing save file thread, there are save files for the game. Now that I think about it, when I first downloaded a save from the thread that stated all the costumes were unlocked, only half of them were initially unlocked when I started the game up. When I got back to it a couple of days later, it went from only half of the costumes being unlocked to all the costumes being unlocked. I don't know why that happened.
Maybe you should try loading the game again to see if your data comes back. That worked for me with the costumes, so maybe it will work for you too.

I will be fine, not sure if I still plan on playing it everyday so I can care less really. Well yeah I was a bit salty but I got over it quick. But, I will keep that save file share thread in mind, didn't hear about it until you mentioned it!

Yeah it works great but it's the obvious Ds factor you loose from it it's not like playing atari games on atari because Nintendo actually use to give a reason to buy their hardware+1
