Hacking 2.1 CTRTransfer image

I've got a NEW 3ds xl looking to get custom firmware on 11.3 and I couldn't see a new 3ds ctr image so is it ok if I use the EUR old 3ds one? (Also from australia, will that affect it?, but console is EUR). I'm reading 3ds.guide multiple times to make sure I don't brick.

The guide says that you use the Old 3DS transfer image for all consoles (2.1.0 never existed for N3DS). Australian consoles are effectively the same as EUR ones.

Thanks, is there any sort of thread that gives you custom cia recommendations? I'm getting NTR CFW for video streaming and not sure what else.
Also i'm a noob to the CFW world educate me...

The guide sets up most of what you need. At the end it also points you in the right direction to set up and use NTR. Note that NTR streaming doesn't work on 11.4, so you'll have to stay on a lower system version if you want to stream with it.

As for cias, there's FreeShop, if you want to use it. There is also JK's Save Manager to backup and import save files, FTPDB for easy wireless file transfer, as well as Themely or CHMM2 if you want to use custom themes.

for emulators i use https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-virtuanes-for-3ds.465461/ for nes games and https://gbatemp.net/threads/snes9x-for-old-3ds.435568/ for snes as these emulators are easy to use and understand
