Hacking 2017 - vWii Region Free ?

Hi all,

After lots of fiddling and deleting TBs of data I managed to get my WiiU set up to run Wii backups via vWii. I said TBs of deleted data because the self powered external HDD I had was my GC on my Wii and the Wii had a "normal" external HDD, unfortunately the WiiU would not read it.

Anyways, long story short.

PAL user here, my wsfb are mixed and my entire WiiWare and VC collection is NTSC.

Do we have a way to make tlhe vWii region free to install and play WiiWare, VC and Wii backups of any region?

Ive browsed around but all the information is either confusing or outdated. Sorry if this is the 100th post about this.

Also I have 1 save file I would really care to transfer over (60h into Xenoblade) but I cant access the WiiU eshop due to the DSN settings so I cant download Wii Transfer app, I have the save file both on Wii and SD

Well anyways, thanks - I have managed the region free bit

I still havent managed to transfer the save file from Wii to vWii tho..bummer

Why Not disable the DNS for a moment?
5.5.1 is the newest firmware and is perfectly fine / hackable

Hey

Well, USB Loader GX boots any Wii "Retail" game regardless the region

For Wad files I used freethewads and it worked.

Re eshop - I tried disabling DSN, it booted up just fine in WiiU mode, but when I try to access it in vWii mode it tells me shop is not available in my country :/
