Fun as in constantly running past the place where you want to go to and laying bombs in the wrong place... I'm asking people who played THIS bombergame.
I'm kind of not mentioning the online part.

I got it too since release. Played it 4 times. I tried the online mode and won the first game. I'm expecting too much of it but I play more zelda and i am setsuna

I don't get why people keep arguing the point that "bomberman is simple, so that simple is what you get.". The overall presentation and quality of the game is far lower than other bomberman games have been previously. Bomberman Generation's multiplayer alone is far, far better to look at than any of Super Bomberman R.

The core gameplay is still there, of course, but that's not all a bomberman game needs to be "good", in my opinion. I'd like to have some effort put into the environments.

This game feels like bomberman with the production quality of Tetris on the 3DO to me.

The single player campaign is very lazy and "color by the numbers" compared to any other bomberman game I've played, minus maybe the NES titles. The Super NES titles were awesome, in comparison.

I'm not knocking anybody for enjoying the game, but I think it's nuts to overlook the drop in overall quality of this game compared to any bomberman games in the past. (minus a couple stinkers).

I have played THIS game. Bought it day one. It's just your standard Bomberman game. It's got co-op in its "story mode". It's not a bad Bomberman game, but not worth $50USD.

It's a mediocre Bomberman game. Don't get it. Just play one of the older Bomberman games on Super Nintendo or Sega.

It's Bomberman. If you go in expecting more, you'll be disappointed.

For being a Bomberman game? It's fun. It's more or less a simple party/multiplayer game that should have been released at ~$30USD.

I went in expecting a good Bomberman game and was disappointed. Yay.

Sold my copy and will be getting Puyo Puyo Tetris instead, once it releases on the continent. End of frustration.

If Konami released a patch to block out that stupid background (a table and a basket?) as well as make the camera never move, the game could become a little better.

Well first of all, i'll have to say this again. Bomber man is a game out of production in 10 years, and is also is made/publish by KONAMI. This game specifcally should have been nerfed to indie title status and been less than $20. I don't care if it did have a story mode, and voice acting and probably lots of money for budget, is not worth the same price as common retail games. It shouldn't have even been retail, it should been digital only.

Now i won't bash the game cause is bomberman, i remember, how the game works and how fun it is to play with people. But that is my point. A game YOU PLAY WITH PEOPLE. That is where the fun of the game is, most of the reason why people play it. Sure it has a story mode, over 50 stages, then what? After you are done, multiplayer. Unless you have friends to play with locally or online (Not sure if it support online or not) Then you have a game that just as worth playing call of duty, titan fall (with no campaign mode) or any other game that gets is value by playing against someone else other than making a game with enough content to do alone.

Single player content is just always important than multiplayer. Go check wikipedia.org for is information, even there it says, it has mixed reviews and mediocre stuff about it. Trust me when i say this, If you wanna play a GOOD bomberman game, try Bomberman 2 on NDS, to me is the best bomberman to date, it has a great single player mode, and multiplayer mode, including download play. Just look at it.

How many people actually buy/play Bomberman for a story mode? That's like the career mode in FIFA/GT games. I personally just go to the Battle Mode in Bomberman games.
That is my point, because people don't play this kind of game for single player is why they need to put as much focus on single play as possible. If you ever tried Bomberman 2 on NDS, you would probably have a much better single player experience than any other bomberman game.

It upsets me that some people feel they have to neglect single player content in favor of multiplayer. They both deserve equal attention. Smash bros brawl has ton of single player, co-op and multiplayer content that is more than the wiiu/3ds game does. Sure i'm not saying you can't have a series survive on multiplayer, but is still important to have enough content for both. Not to mention buying a game and only works online PLUS online subscription to play required. For example, overwatch on ps4/xbox is one of those games. No xbox live or playstation plus, you own a game you can't play. No one wants that.

As others have said its bomberman.
Its nothing new, the same game just updated.
I play ot a few times here and there. I think im on world 3 and have done maybe 20 online battles.
But got other stuff to play so dont play it much.

Not necessarily the 'same' game as always, they tried to improve and in doing so, they actually made it worse. :(
