So i had two luma cfw 3ds's both og fat ones i hacked forever ago. last night i booted one of them into the non cfw and changed the theme and boom everything was broken, i could no longer hold L to boot back into cfw mode where all my games was it didn't work anymore. So i said "why not just hack my old 3ds XL"
turn on my XL and it turns out im on firmware 11.3.0u, so i put in powersaves and the latest ocarina of time hax and now i've successfully made it to the Homebrew Launcher on my xl. The only problem is I want to go back to having a luma custom firmware that my 3ds auto boots into but I completely forgot how to do it or if its even possible on this 11.3 firmware.

Does anyone know if it is/wanna link me to a guide?

To get CFW working again on the 3DS you changed the theme on, reinstall menuhax through HBL. You can't change the sysNAND theme with menuhax installed. Best not to touch sysNAND at all and pretend it doesn't exist when you have a menuhax setup, as accidental updates and such can happen.
However I suggest upgrading to the latest and greatest A9LH by following this guide: http://3ds.guide/
That way you won't need to use emuNAND anymore and you can treat sysNAND as if it was OFW and be able to update it normally without losing access to CFW and since you won't need menuhax anymore, you can change the theme without it messing anything up.

They can't get A9LH. Read the post properly.

i forgot what menuhax even is so im just not gunna bother and wait until i can hack my xl
i already have a luma 3ds on my blue og 3ds so theres no point in having 2 (even though my zelda black and gold og 3ds did look sexy af with cfw :/)

thanks boys

That's not how I interpreted it. Sounds to me like they have 2 original 3DS's, both hacked, as well as a non-hacked XL.
u are correct the other dude read it wrong.

the 2 og ones weren't on 11.3 they were 9.2 i believe

I suppose not. However there's no telling if 11.3 will ever be hacked. You could re-hack the Zelda 3DS and if you don't care about playing on it you could always sell it or load a bunch of games on it and give it away, consoles with A9LH on are worth more.

AFAIK, you need to Hardmod it to downgrade, then do everything.

Also from what I can tell, it did not have a CFW on it and he used OoThax to get the Homebrew Launcher on the o3DSXL. So doesn't that mean he already has an entry point/exploit?

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.
