Gaming Opened my mint Wolf Link Amiibo and...

so i was keeping it mint unopened from my twilight princess wii u purchase, but got botw and cracked, cuz enemies are tough and wolf link is a big help. Spawned him up and was hoping for some help with gangbanging enemies. Got one hit killed with an arrow, spawn back, no more wolf link! What a rip! I don't think he should disappear just cuz I die, he wasn't dead. Further, now I have to wait a day to respawn him! I got cheated!

Just making sure, you know how that amiibo works right? Wolf Link's hearts directly relate to the hearts you have at the completion of the Cave of Shadows in Twilight Princess HD.

YOu didnt get cheated you were dumb.

Read before you do. It is clear online that the wolf can get kill and die, and then he cant come back until he is scanned again the next day.
Hearts are link to Twlight game.

Did you here about the wolf full heart glitch? If u take the Amiibo that was registered on TPHD but does NOT have cave of shadows data on it, and use it on BOTW, it summons in w/20 hearts.
I have this ready to test but have only just gotten the first 4 runes and have not unlocked Amiibo function yet. Users on botw reddit are confirming this works.

If u have visited/saved in the cave with the Amiibo, it will only retain the heart count you have in TP, instead of the 20 heart default glitch amount.

Please, do tell! I was kind of upset when I learned they line the bottom of the packaging with metal to block the NFC signal and keep you from scanning it while it's in the box.

Did this because people where dumping the codes in store.
I believe it was skylander and they updated there stuff and nintendo simply followed when they roll out there amiibo.
But yes it cuts down on collocting them.
But since tagmo came out i buy the figures i want amd leave them in box then some nfc tags and use those for games

You can enable the amiibo rune by enabling it from the options menu btw

They didnt have to add amiibo into the game tho.
So its base on dev with what they wanna do.
I think zelds uses them nicely. You can get something everyday vs one single item the whole game

It's optional, but it's content that's cool to own and useful too. The MK8 costumes are really awesome and a shame that they can't be unlocked in-game or a DLC-added bonus.

If you die, then you can scan and get the wolf back.

If the wolf takes damage and then you die, when you scan it back it will still be missing the hearts.

If the wolf dies, then you have to wait until the next day to scan it again.

I opened my mint wolf amiibo too and it was worth it. Having the wolf and epona is a nice combo.
