It takes like 20 seconds to get mocha set up. Download it put on the sd card load the wiiu it's that quick.

What do I gain by doing so? If its only to delete the fw.img file I couldn't be bothered, especially since the way I have it now is region free.

Can I just ask, my understanding is that if I use Mocha before running a USA game (my console is Eur) it is region free so the game will run no problem.

My question is what if I try to run the USA game without starting Mocha first, will my console brick or will the game just not load?

Yes Mocha is region free if you install an out of region game and forget to start mocha it will just give you an error message.

Hello, I am trying to perform the region hack on my wii u. However, when I put in the command w.dl("/vol/system_slc/config/sys_prod.xml")
I get the error 10Error: (Errno 13) Permission denied: "sys_prod.xml"

I figured it out. I needed to build fw.img which I did using fix94 guide. I am able to play my Japanese copy of BotW on my US wiiu. Thank you.

I thought I'd add that I just tried this on my European Wii U with CBHC installed and it worked flawlessly. Just Dance Yo-kai Watch went from being unplayable to playable. Kinda pathetic that Nintendo could patch this by literally changing one number, yet despite the Wii U dying horribly, they still refused to do so.

If you have CBHC, sig patches and stuff, can you install SystemConfigTool to a USB HDD and use it on sysNAND without bricking? I'd quite like to use it but I don't have redNAND

You need a certain version, (check that iso site I guess) but yes you can. do note that a ton of options will brick your console.

Thanks so much. Do you know which version I would need? I really don't want to brick my Wii U (although I seem to have been lucky so far)

Has anyone managed to install animal crossing amiibo festival EUR in an American wiiu using coldbood haxshi? Because here appears error 150-3033 if installed on external hd and error 150-3031 if installed on internal hd

It works if you run Spiik first and select EUR for the region. Probably better to find the USB-ready US version though.

Much as I hated the idea of messing with the console system files, I used the instructions to access and change the identified xml file and my NA system will now successfully boot a EUR game without me having to go into cfw.

It worked and I didn't brick.^^ But if I want to start Mario Kart 8 (US) on my EUR Wii U it just freezes when it's going to load up the main menu of the game..?^^
