My right joycon is dead and will not charge, has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to fix it or do I need a replacement?

Edit: Solved the problem. I just got really angry and threw it onto the bed and now it works perfectly.
Go figure

It's dead, the ribbon cable for charging is broken
I'm not kidding
Best thing you could do is get a new switch or buy the charger thingy

Then the ribbon cable wasn't broken at all
HOLY shit I'm a terrible advice giver
Well, you made the best guess you could have.
It probably was a problem with the ribbon cable though, it might have gotten twisted or something? I'm really not sure what I did lol

i have the best solution and easiest,
RMA it, if you bough it in a store, and you are not dumb, you still have the receipt and is just a matter of asking for a refund\ switch of the switch

(the dumb part is about the people who don't keep the receipts)

i believe him with the 'i threw it on the bed and it works again'

there were a few times when my ps2 controllers back in the day would stop functiniong and i would get angry and throw it hard against the ground and that made them work again.

A game once told me a valuable lesson, solve all problems with kicking. It was a girl, who seem like a spoiled teenager..... who kicked all machines she came across, and it worked.... (Play tales of legendia on ps2) :ninja:

Nvm I got really angry and threw it onto the bed and now it works
In the IT industry we call that "percussive maintenance". You'd be surprised how often I've fixed things by giving it a little beating. The ice machine at my work jams daily, but a few solid punches to the side of the machine fixes the problem

I was actually thinking about the percussive maintenance thing after it got fixed because I threw it. I forgot what the name was exactly though
