So you are saying that this is an Retroarch issue and it's happening in all versions, even in the 1.41 stable version? No workaround or resolution to the error?

The older builds don't have this issue, esp. pre 1.4.1 versions, the newer builds seem to have random System Memory issues. That, and i need to find a way to replicate them every time so the devs can reproduce them and fix it. It's incredibly baffling. What I'm going to do is get the latest build, spam-load cores and ROMs back to back, opening and closing the menu (record a video), and hopefully I can reproduce the bug.

OKay, I will try the stable version 1.4.0 and see what happens? Can you explain what you mean by "spam-load cores"? Also, thanks for offering to report this.

Loading cores back to back over and over, changing rapidly, loading games over and over, doing that repeatedly to make it crash and reproduce the error.

Oh, okay. Well, this is happening after loading one core. I hope the devs are listening and someone will address this. As you said, this is very frustrating to the point that you don't want to use it. Hope your report helps, thanks again.

Can you take a pic of it with a phone/camera? I can send that as evidence.

Here you go. Hope this helps.

This is amazing, thanks very much to those who worked on porting Retroarch to WiiU. I can finally move away from vWii thanks to this app. If netplay could be implemented, it would be boss.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. What does RPX mean?

Rpx is the executable file format used by the WiiU. Similar to Dol for Wii and Gamecube

It seems like RetroArch released 1.5.0 Stable today for all consoles:

There's the Wii U one.
Could someone give the cores a try to see if something has been changed or fixed?

I sincerely hope those random system memory crashes have been fixed at long last, I can give it a whirl. Curious as to why no change log was posted for the Wii U port. I'll delete the config files, and record a video to see if I can reproduce that error.

Awesome I'll give some cores a try when I get home tonight. Got Ninja Baseball Batman to boot last night in MAME and it runs perfectly outside of horrible sound issues so hopefully some aduio updates to address that.

Thanks for the report
Mmmmh, someone else has tried it yet?

I don't know, heck, I don't even know if they'll look at the report, I can record a video of me loading it up, making a config file, closing it and opening up once more. The second time I load it is when it crashes, so it kind of works..if you never configure it and open it a second time, I don't have high hopes of them getting to it anytime soon, they seem swamped, so I feel bad at having to report a bug on top of their list.

Are you loading games through usb?

Nope, Haxchi/HBL and SD, I don't have a spare HDD to use. I've used version 1.4.0 and so on before without an issue, nothing has changed. Read the other comments, other users have reported issues similar to this in nightly builds, but this is a stable build, it should be stable, not causing errors. I can easily replicate this process on a video and show exactly what happens.
