Hacking emunand as legit dev system?

Is it possible to turn my n3ds emunand into a legit development system that can use dev-signed cia etc.?

If i'm remember correctly, dev unit has different FW.
And you can't run other console EmuNAND on it.
So, I don't think you can do that.

No you can't, I don't think the dev firms for panda/snake have been dumped or used in that manner. It has to be a dev system it's self, unfortunately

1. yes the fw's are dumped https://dev.3ds.guide/
2. once we got boot9 we can install any firmware

Correct me if i am wrong, but theoretically when sighax finally arrives we will have the ability to sign the dev firmwares for our own 3DS's.

You are wrong. This guide is only for dev consoles. You'll brick if you do this on a retail unit.

you have misread. the dev fws are dumped as you can find the ctr images there.
2. no you won't brick using sighax, since you can basically install anything.

so @spinal_cord , to answer your question properly:
we need
- the 3ds's arm9 bootrom (which is beeing dumped currently by hedgeberg and Greg the 2ds)
- a public implementation of sighax
- the SafeSigHaxInstaller
- a version of the dev fw that works with the installer above

then you are good to go and running the official dev fw
