I am getting the exact same error. I am however able to save state up to 10 or so SNES games before I receive the error. I have 46 SNES games split in 2 folders. And even though they are in different folders. I am still unable to get more than 10 save states for SNES games. I have tested this extensively but I do not know how to remedy this. I also have 650 or so NES games but they work flawlessly.

Thank you for verifying that I am not crazy lol. I think it had something to do with the .hmod file. I had tried to install/uninstall a couple of them and it may have messed something up. That and the number of files being shown.

I have since went back to a fresh install of hakchi2 2.12 and using Cluster's original .hmod for retroarch. Then I reduced the number of roms to my favorite 300 NES, 30-40 SNES and 25 or so Sega Genesis. There are only 30 per folder, automatically separated, evenly by first letter. ;) So far it's allowed me save and enter suspend states for all the games that I have tested so far and I have more games than I will need in this lifetime... well I can always add more hehe.

Side Note: messing around in RetroArch Audio settings(turned on audio syncing I believe), I was able to make music/sounds on SMW2 Yoshi's Island MUCH better. I can't wait to get back into that game! Hope this wasn't a fluke and helps others! :D

Thanks again everybody who has poured their blood, sweat and tears into this wonderful program! Cheers

Would you mind telling me exactly what core you used? Did you add it to the original retroarch.hmod? I'm trying to get the tmnt arcade games to work.
I have all the tmnt games working. You don't need any of those cores for them to work. They are nes snes and 1 genesis game. So why would you need any special core besides what's given?

@Beathil you tried going back to 2.11?

I figured it out after I went back to 2.11 and it still wasn't working. (sigh) It was the usb cable. It works fine for providing power, but doesn't work when connected to the computer. I found one that works properly and have it marked specificy for my nes.

Lesson learned, always try different cables.

Ok so with 2.12 and clusters hmod, what do I need to do to get 2600 roms to run? I tried using pcm's stella hmod and installed it but the game shows black screen then back to menu. Thanks for any help.

Yay! Back to adding games then. :)

Could someone please explain after having the Hakchi 2 folder what other folders do i need to add to get retroarch to work?
Thanks

So Nesito, did you receive your extension cables and do they work?

I know it may not pertain to your testing needs, but I have been using Hyperkin controller cord extenders on both my controllers and haven't had any issues. Oddly enough, my "Wii Classic" controller is actually a PowerA brand(3rd party) and works fantastic for SNES games, if you don't mind the D-pad. The L1 and R1 work and X and Y are mapped perfectly though. Sega maps ABC to YBA and I am ok with that!

So finally decided on 400 games. Lots of NES (275), 70 Sega Master System, 30 Sega Genesis, and 25 SNES. No issues (C2-C8 errors) at all until I played Snow Bros. for Sega Genesis. Won't allow me to save the game state. Not a big deal as there are more games on this little machine that I can ever imagine. Thanks to all those involved, it has been a snap to process. Looking forward to minor tweaks along the way. Now just to get the best controller possible. I have the My Arcade Pro Wireless en route, but have been using a wii U fight pad with no problems other than the buttons are located a little wonky.

Looking forward to having a 'quicker flash' system in the future. With custom folders and the amount of games I have it takes about 25 minutes to load everything up. Not a complaint, but I'm guessing it will come where it only flashes the small changes you have made in the future.

So I went ahead and added in 80 NES Games(In 3 separate folders), SNES games(About 20 of them) and the same amount of N64 games..but when I try syncing it says

"Sorry, there are 455bytes of games, its too much." so not sure what I should do..I removed Paper Mario and Corkers Bad Fur Day because they were big files but not sure what to do to fix this issue

Is there anyway to force the game uploads in smaller chunks? I noticed when you're uploading larger archives (like MAME Roms), the NESC tends not to finish the upload correctly. Often times, the red led will remain on at the end and not finish the process.

I have a dumbass question, can I rearrange the NES games alphabetically so that the Zelda and startropics games appear by each of instead of "legend" and "zoda"?
Yep. Just change the name in Hakchi. i.e. make all of your Zelda games start with "Legend of..."

Guys when I download https://github.com/pcm720/retroarch-clover/releases latest release to get the Hmod folder and instead just file I download the Source zip correct ? Inside is cloverapp, core modules, fbgrab-1.3,liberto core template and retroarch hmod then LIcense file Makehmod batch and makemod.sh and readme.md? How exactly do I put this in hakchi2.12? Do I just put the retroarch.hmod folder inside? and replacei t with the Hmod file and uninstall reinstall?

I'm having similar issues with Yoshi's Island (Sound, slowdown, etc.). From what I've read on here, the pointer is to use catsfc (older snes9x?). I'm fairly new to this but have a decent handle on core setup. My question is can someone point me to where I can obtain this core?
