I downloaded your smooth mod. But when I added from modules I had yours checked and the original one checked. And everything works fine.
maybe they merged, it's the same mod, with my tweaks. It's more secure to unninstall before installing to prevent duplicate files

Just incase anybody here doesn't know, the greatest game ever created is Nigel Alderton's Chuckie Egg.

It's appeared on over a dozen systems over the years with the Spectrum version likely being the best. I'm off to bed now but when I get up tomorrow and visit this thread I want to see evidence of people playing it on the NES Mini Classic, which will probably make who ever does it the first person EVER to play it on that machine.

Get to it!!! :D

Does some games run better on RA then default emulator?
for example: most of EUR region, hacked, modified .nes roms :)

@condiczek @Cluster

It would be incredibly helpful for a small variant of this. In the settings menu of the hakchi2 gui, an option to automatically select all games or automatically deselect this option for all games, with that change being instant. Then we could go into a single game and uncheck the box if we don't want that particular game running using retroarch. The way its set up right now, I'm using the --retroarch global command argument, but I have 2 games out of 732 that I don't want to use retroarch with. Those 2 famicom disk system games ran better using the NES Classic emulator as opposed to retroarch. In retroarch, they simply refuse to run at all. I start the game, get a black screen and then get sent back to the NES Classic main gui.

It would be easier to be able to deselect 2 games to not use retroarch rather than click that tiny box 730 times for the rest of the games that I want retroarch running with.
check attachment and tell me if it works for you (settings emulator choice)

I am getting the exact same error. I am however able to save state up to 10 or so SNES games before I receive the error. I have 46 SNES games split in 2 folders. And even though they are in different folders. I am still unable to get more than 10 save states for SNES games. I have tested this extensively but I do not know how to remedy this. I also have 650 or so NES games but they work flawlessly.

I'm having some issues with save states too. It seems sporadic at best but I think it is the larger games that are giving me issues. I have around 95 NES titles in a folder and all of them save. File sizes for NES games are pretty tiny. My SNES folder has around 90 titles and only some of the smaller games will use the save state and those games are all under 2mb. The larger games like FFVI will not utilize the feature. My 30+ Genesis games all save too and they are all relatively small. :)

Thanks for this. I'm very interested in feedback about this very subject. I have 14 GB, 4 GBC, 225 NES, and 48 SNES games and more or less feel this is my sweet spot. I want to be able to save as normal, so I'm trying not to max it out for the heck of it. That said, if I could add another 10 or so SNES games I would be very happy. I did some testing and was able to create a save for every SNES game, but not simultaneously (was just checking to make sure they all let me create a save state, then deleted). My games are all split equally, with 30 the max per folder. In the case of the SNES games, it's 24 per folder right now. Have either of you tried putting only 10 games in each folder and seeing if this will allow more total save states for the SNES titles. Or more than 10 anyway. Also, what is the file size of your games folder? I need to double check mine, but I would assume it's under 300MB. If a copy of the game is made each time a save state is made, I could see how saving/copying many SNES games could max it out.

With all the code restructuring that has been done in the new hakchi2, @Cluster has changed the parameters with the size of the covers by creating a .png file with a resolution of 148 x 204 (random resolution). Well, this totally disregards the aesthetics of the menu, since with hakchi2 2.11 ALL the covers had the same resolution of 140 x 204.

Then, when adding new games, the new covers created by 2.12 are of different resolution to those already created with the previous version, I also perceive them more blurred.

Can you modify the source code to solve this problem?

Thx.

I noticed the blur as well. More noticeable on some games than others.

Can you add the CPS 1,2, FB and NeoGeo cores automatically in your module?
hey @dever i'm not testing those systems, so, i don't really know what cores work better for each one. It's easy to do, but we must also pay attention to the quantity of things we put on the folder, to prevent issues.

What about these as the NES FOLDER Icons instead of the Blank folders...

I split my games to 30 per folder... but something as an example like this:

vki7k.png
...........etc....etc...

i just use normal fbalpha and it loads both cps1,cps2 and mame

No I'm on Windows 10. I had no problems with 2.11, and I have tried a fresh clean 2.12, and the problem is still happening. I've tried 3 different usb ports, nothing works. I have no clue why my PC and Hakchi won't see my nes mini anymore. Driving me nuts.

@Beathil you tried going back to 2.11?

Anyone have a good mapping for the Wii Classic Controller so you can play game like THPS2 on the N64 relatively easily?

Since the launching scripts take up virtually no space, while some of the cores can be really big, it might be better to include those scripts by default for as many systems you support but only a few actual cores copied into the folder by default. People could drag and drop the cores they want to make the best of the space available.
