Hacking ps3 wifi error (80130128)

i have the wifi error 80130128 so wifi will not work so i went and hooked it up to a modem it got another error and spat out the current psid does anyone know why this would happen or how to fix it? its on custom firmware rebug 4.75 if thats helpful

I doesn't matter if you have custom firmware or not. It should work. Never heard of that error but you could try updating your cfw/or try to install a dualboot firmware

its apparently an error saying that the wifi is busted from what i can gather but the Ethernet also does something similar so im at a loss also where would i get the firmware to reinstall or update i bought this thing second hand with cfw so i don't know where i would get it

Just search on the internet.. it's really easy/you install cfw update with an USB stick

PS3 is worth 80-140$, it has some cool titles on it, but you can be pretty sure that all the new games will come out only on the next gen consoles.

im gonna see if i can get a decent bit because its modded and then just fork over the extra cash to get a slim like i wanted in the first place thanks for your help man
