Homebrew how to update games without updating to 11.3 cfw and alh9 installed

i want to update pokemon sun but i cant unless i update my system software to 11.3 which i dont want to. how do i update my game? i have cfw and a9lh installed on my new nintendo 3ds

Use freeshop to update your games.

Why don't you want to 11.3? It's perfectly safe to do so.

Did you know that if you have a9hl you can make a back up of your 11.2 NAND system through hourglass. and update normally. If 11.3 is not what you wished for or hope for it to be you can always restore your 11.2 NAND through hourglass.

I just updated it and the hb browser works now on with a new update released around 11-2-2017. Tho all the plugins to cheat in games (super mario maker, binding of isaac) with NTR (tried 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 ) don't activate. (overlay functions fps and time or battery work fine.) I'm gonna try it on an older version of a 3ds and come back to see if it is indeed fixed if i'm using the older version. I just try to give a heads up about this, maybe someone else has a different experience with it. Then please let me know.

Just tried and i can confirm that in super mario 3d land (rev2 plugin) the cheat plugin worked first on another 3ds with version 11.2 and then on my own 3ds with the 11.3 version (it took me a few tries on 11.3 with different ntr versions eventually used the 3.4 version and it did the charm.)

11.3 is perfectly safe on cfw. The only reason ntr didn't work was because it had to be updated. Everything works fine just like 11.2. The homebrew launcher also needs to be updated.
