Just a suggestion, maybe those you used retroarch can create a new thread for the discussion about it? It's getting a bit confusing here since this thread was mainly created for questions about hakchi2. Cheers.

Lol Someone isn't up to date... the discussion about retroarch does involve Hakchi2. Lol your behind man.

@spinal_cord can you enable the frame rate to check that runs ok at 60/60. I imagined that NES mini SOC is enough powerful to run NES retroarch core but it's for the tests ;)

Thanks. Rgs.

More games running on Mini NES Classic and captured as usual at 720p60 for make the waiting to retroarch integrated on hakchi2 more pleasure.

Sure, why not...

Nn NES im getting 60.0fps constant. SNES I'm getting between 59.8 and 60.1, even the yoshis island title screen shows a quite respectable 55 fps.

Any possibility to get "Chiller" on the NES classic mini working?
One of the version I have works ok.
EDIT: I must tell that the game only works ok in 1st stage, the 2nd come with artifacts or tile/sprites glitches.

If you're talking about the archive I've posted on GBX.ru, yeah. 1942 was the random game I picked for my experiments.
You can replace the game ID in Haxchi2 mod_transfer init script, .desktop file and ./bin/retroarch-mini, and then all you have to do is to rename everything that has the game ID in the name.
Replace the string in config.ini, and it should work.

I hope Cluster will make this more user-friendly.
The fact you got it working is amazing. I certainly know what my weekend project is going to be.

Much better. :-)

Has anyone tried connecting a Classic Controller or any other variation of one into the NES Mini controller ports?
I'm just curious to know if they do work with it.

For those looking to get away from the limitations of the short cord or the cord at all... I have purchased two wireless, Bluetooth controllers that work great. They are made a 8bitdo and will link to any Bluetooth enabled controller. I play these games with my PS4 controller.

I found them on Amazon for $40 each

Yes, the classic controller word, so does the Snes one. My bet is that any officially branded controller will work and probably most 3rd party ones also. I think that there's only one that doesn't.

I hope that sometime soon, there's a better way to update the system than overwriting the whole thing.

OMG that retroarch looks sweet, but the one cant stop thinking about the possibility of put those roms on the main menu and launch them with a direct command, ogt usb pendrive loading, little 8GB will get all roms the one can dream, shit back to Rpie better, too much day dreaming... :moogle:

So I added good chunk of NES games ( Around 80 + ) into system NES folder on the liberto/rom + I made SNES folder with some SNES games in it for testing on retroarch everything works perfectly ! Now I need a wii classic controller >.>

i guess my NES controller will be alright for Genesis games though? and Gameboy color.

So are you able to play SNES games on the Classic through hackchi2?
