When I download something on FreeShop the thing will say: "An update is available for this title."

eShop? So I can update it normally and Nintendo can't tell it's not a legit copy?
They can't tell a pirated game from an eShop copy, so it's safe to update them.

Thank you. Btw, on the topic of updates I think CTR-HTTPWN may need one.
Do I have to unscrew the back of my 3DS or is there an easier way to update a Homebrew app?

You can use ftpd and FileZilla to transfer between your computer and 3DS, or you can use the microSD card management software in the system settings -> data settings (I assume you have a n3DS).

Yeah it's the new one. I'm not sure how FTPD or FileZilla work but I can find out later. It won't kill me to unscrew the thing again.

Use microSD card management then, it's more easy in New 3DS.
But, that also depends on the network speed.
For me, the microSD Management transfers files to and from my N3DSXL at 20-25MB/s.
But if I unscrew the back casing of my 3DS and put the SD card in my SD Card Adapter, I usually get 80-90MB/s.

I think the 3DS just hates me...

ctr-httpwn, obviously. I'm reading the issue page right now.
I have to disable Clock + L2 cache.
I remember seeing that before but I'm not sure where...
Why do you want to bypass the updates? I know 11.3 hit the scene hard, but I mean Luma and arm9 still works perfectly fine.

I don't trust the updates. Maybe I'm paranoid but I feel safer skipping them.
I'm not sure what benefits I'd get from updating anywhere so why bother?

(I found Clock + L2 Cache, I had to hold SELECT on boot)

Do you have Luma (latest) and arm9???
If so, you are good as golden to update. I did, and FreeShop, CIAngel, etc still works but NTR doesn't yet..
