Some people do use them for other games, so it should not be removed. Including lighter filters like SuperEagle or 2xSai would be an option.
Which games that do not lag then? I've used filters on the more popular titles like Super Metroid, Earthbound, Super Mario World, ALTTP, Secret of Mana and Super Mario RPG and they all slow down. (Dips below 60fps)

Can't say, i really don't use filters as original 240p looks glorious on my CRT TV & PVM. Maybe the Mario games?

I tried essentially the same thing and couldn't get it to work, so I probably missed one somewhere. I ended up going with 32000 instead and that got me to the almost no pops version I have now, so getting it worked out on 32040 would probably fix the last of it. Can you zip up your current working source and send it to me? [email removed]

Just fyi, while testing out megamanX I still get some popping/stuttering hear and there. Using the Volume fixed version you did. Anyone else still having this happen? Oh and it has that savestate/nomusic bug, but i think you guys already knew that

Does it happen with other hacks too? It's possible that the MMX tracks got clipped when they were originally volume boosted, which I can't really fix short of redoing them completely from scratch...

the same exact copy of megamanx works perfect using retroarch on wiiu. Oh and also i had a personal request. when you hit the home button, and the menu comes up, can you add an option to "exit emulator" so when using this with loaders you can easily exit back out to the loader/system menu, instead of having to go back to the game list. that would be awesome, thanks

Have you tested with a recent build? There were some changes to 32040 KHz rate.

@Zopenko

This looks like a sweet update to a great emulator. Was wondering if you're still working on it, or if you've moved on to other projects. If you are still updating, I was hoping you would be able to add a couple more button map options to the wii controller. I have an 8bitdo SNES30 controller, and they mapped the shoulder buttons to "Right Tilt", "Left Tilt", and "Shake" (both L + R) for some reason. Since Snes9xgx does not recognize these inputs, I cannot use the shoulder buttons with this controller, which really sucks.

I've looked at other ways to modify this, like modded or updated firmware for the controller itself. I've come close, but nothing that actually works. If those actions could be added to the emulator it would solve this problem, as 8bitdo does not seem to be concerned about it.

Hope this is a possible update, and thanks for all the great work already!

Yep. http://dl.qwertymodo.com/snes9xgx-wii_msu1.dol
right? i just downloaded that and tested it. in the intro level it only did it like twice. so its not often, im just saying it does happen, even if only a tiny bit
Well, i meant recent as in freshly compiled after the last change to the source, since i don't know if that build you posted predates the last commit.

From what i have read in your link, that controller only simulates a Wiimote and not a Classic Controller, so there is just no way you could add more buttons than what it is already supported in the original Wiimote. In this case, you should ask for a remotely possible firmware update with Wii Classic Controller support in the 8bitdo forums.

well i thought that link was the most recent. can you upload the most recent? i cant compile it cuz my devkit is messed up and i keep getting network errors everytime i try to redownload the latest.(i hate its stupid online installer)

Keep in mind that the MSU1 music still breaks when loading a save state, @qwertymodo hasn't had the time yet to implement the snapshot fix in his Snes9X GX branch, so you'll have to wait a bit more. Sure you want the build?

Well yea, i wanna see if those pops in the audio are still there in the latest. I can live without the savestatefix for now

Done. You can test and report back.

I tested it, it seems about the same. Playing the opening stage of megamanx again, it was perfect until i got to the boss. right when he jumps down from the airship thing, the audio stuttered. and then again when zero's text started scrolling. So its very infrequent, but does occasionally happen.

Are you loading your ROM+PCM from USB or SD? If it is the latter, what's the class/speed of it?

also, out of the volume normalized re-done packs, did you notice that megamanx3 is considerably quieter than x1-2? i can barely hear the music in the opening stage unless i turn the volume way up, but then the sound effects are too loud
