Sigh, though using NTR is actually faster as a whole, here's the problem I believe you're having and possible solutions.

1. You didn't rebuild the files (related to the second use of FEAT)
2. You didn't remerge the files with the game hence resulting in an error
3. I never encountered a hang, but I'll treat it just the same as a crash. Something may have been corrupted during the process. You may need to start the process again.
4. By recommendation, use NTR. The file size you need is less, and its easier to restart.

I'm distracted at the time of writing, so please excuse misinformation or inaccurate info if at all.

With regards to the undub, I'm not familiar with the method. But I assume it would not unless you refer to movies. Voice files would require direct renaming and so on.

Hey, has anyone else gotten their starting butler/maid as a great Lord? Because on this run the game crashes at the start of the battle with Kaze and rinkah and I suspect that's what's causing the crash.

Is it possible to randomize revelations or conquest with a birthright cartridge?

It's possible, but it's complicated and time consuming. You have to decrypt and extract the dlc to get the files needed then after you randomize you'll have to rebuild the dlc. You have to have cfw for rebuilt dlc and so you're likely better off with a special edition cia.

So... I randomized my game and the funniest thing happened... Xander and Ryoma swapped with each other.

Xander: "Corrin! You belong in Hoshido!"
Ryoma: "No, Corrin! You belong with us in Nohr!"
Corrin: O.O"

Can you just imagine? xD

Xander just said to Ryoma "Quiet Nohrian, filth!" xD
This is the best thing about this randomizer: seeing characters act as other characters or seeing most characters act completely out of character.

And I love it!

Alright, im on step 7 of the installation instructions and i found a few files the FEAT messed up with, which i fixed, but now it says "GameData\Dispos\C\C007.bin" is missing, which i never had in the first place. Any advice?

OK so a friend of mine who's much less into fire emblem than I managed to get the special edition and he's doing the randomizer now. If I borrowed his special edition exclusive files what steps would still be left to randomize revelations? Would it still need to be rebuilt as a cia, or would a .romfs with HANS work?

I won't be rude but if you changed file titles, @thane98 is the better person. I also believe it may have been answered in a previous thread. I just don't have the time to search it up as I am not on a comp.

With regards to the files, nothing much has been skipped aside from getting the files by a legitimate source. You would still need to extract the files to randomize them via the same process

If you have the special edition installed on your system, you can use NTR, this requires CFW. Do not bother rebuilding the SE Cia, it takes a lot more time and effort and you will be unable to troubleshoot by removing files or replacing files. You would also have to rebuild each time you wanted a new randomization (say when a new version of the randomizer comes out), NTR is just easier.
If you have the special edition cartridge, you can use HANS, this requires homebrew access and patience. You will have to rebuild the romfs every time you wish to randomize, and HANS doesn't like Fates/If.
If you have a non-special edition, you must rebuild the DLC, this requires CFW. You have to rebuild the DLC every time you want to use a path that is not native to your game which you wish to randomize. You still have to use NTR for some files however.

You cannot use the romfs file from the SE on a non-SE with HANS.

mmm.... Are you sure bout that? I mean it's definitely possible to use SE version if the paths are already prebought on your system (if not using SE)

All you're doing is renaming the folder ID for NTR and file name for romfs.

But yes, majority of us using this agree that using NTR is far more easier.

Neither HANS or NTR replace DLC files, in fact from my understanding, HANS won't even load DLC files. If you tried to put SE files into a non-SE version using NTR I can tell you right now that those files will never be used because the game doesn't look for them in the ROMFS. It's possible that if you rebuild the ROMFS for HANS that it might play like a SE with a non-SE cart, but at the point where you have rebuilt the ROMFS you are like 1-2 steps away from rebuilding the CIA.

Well I understand that, but isn't that the point of us saying you need the SE?

I'm not discussing the DLC pathway download. I'm inferring that should you not have the special edition files on your computer to be randomized, you would still need to extract the files, randomize them and set it up in the way for HANS or NTR. I wasn't hinting that predownloaded DLC paths won't work.

To clarify that point, I was implying the use of SE randomized files being compatible with the DLC paths. Yes I know it is buggy, but it cannot be denied that they still work even if that was not the intention of this program. But at least I now understand how there might be issues that can't be reproduced.

@thane98, perhaps this would explain your un-produceable errors that have been reported as well as my own. I wish to apologize on my behalf for wasting your time in that regard in testing for these errors.

I have been doing HANS since launch, and I know that NTR or CFW is better, I just don't have the time to set up a whole new thing when HANS works fine, so it'd be great if people got off my case about it. Anyway once I get the opportunity I'll try replacing them and seeing what happens. Probably a crash, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Edit: Why did my computer suddenly make everything I type itallicized?
