Another great conversion for the NES running on mini nes classic
Castelian

aka Nebulus (C64, EU) aka Tower Toppler (C64, US)

The default overscan as listed in the command line argument is
"--guest-overscan-dimensions 0,0,9,3"

While playing Dragon Warrior IV, if I'm moving up or down, the bottom of the screen has that telltale line of sprites moving around, this normally would be removed with a CRT as the bezel or some such would have hid it. Does anybody know what parameter to mess with in order to just lop off that bottom line?

--guest-overscan-dimensions=<l,r,t,b> Set the number of black PPU pixels on the four screen borders.

left, right, top, bottom. so if you want less bottom overscan you could use 0,0,9,12. you have to play around with the values for full satisfaction. sadly i have not figured out how to stretch the screen (with or without correct pixel aspect ratio) to compensate for the overscan.

Excellent. At least now I know which parameter to mess with. It's a start, thanks.

@Cluster any change to make this fix final fantasy vii advent children hack on nes mini? it say The mapper is not supported yet

Noooooo. Please people stop asking for fixes for mappers. Either see if the game has a mapper patch or move on from it

Does anyone know how to implement the correct global command line argument for fullscreen stretch? I have tried many times with no success. What do you exactly type to make that happen?

I have referenced this https://github.com/ClusterM/hakchi2/wiki/Command-line-arguments but can't get it to work.

although i prefer the correct pixel perfect aspect ratio (not the 4:3 which scales badly/not pixel perfect) i would also be interested in how this could be accomplished. i tried various arguments with the --keep-aspect-ratio param (like =off, =non, =false or =disabled) but to no avail. maybe the order of params in conjunction with --stretch or --pixel-perfect is important here?

either it gives a c7 error or it has no effect, the same with --set-dac-filters=none which i tried because i read that the NCM noise emulation is kinda wrong.

i believe it was cluster himself that said not all params do have an effect, but i wonder why they have been implemented (by nintendo for internal/development reasons i guess) if they have no effect? maybe some "debug" option has to be unlocked in kachikachi?

How (or where) did you find the translated version? I can only find the Rockman CX hack, but not the English Mega Man CX version.

EDIT: I found it with some digging. Your YouTube video helped point the way. Thank you.

Has anyone added a full library yet? A local guy to me is offering it as a service and says he adds 625 games. He weeded out all the power pad and zapper gun games. I also think ones that just dont run. 625 games total he fit on his. He has a video too of it running.

Yes

Holy cow really? Nothing special has to be done to it? Itll hold that much? Ive added 30 extra to mine and thats it.
Just use the latest version from the first post of this topic. The program hasn't gotten any harder to use, so if you put 30 on there, you can do more without issue. I bet the guy charging doesn't point people to this topic, that would be way to honest for someone like that.
