I have a weird issue. Searched and couldn't turn up anything on it. I have a video uploading but work wifi is slow.

Run theme manager, let it create it's info, select black theme. Install CCHM2 from HomeBr3w, install custom theme, reboot. Upon reboot, blank theme (not even the black one i had before). I tried this like 4 times before i noticed i had notifications that needed cleared. I went it and went back out and bam, the theme was loaded correctly.

Is there something I'm missing here?

EDIT: Video:

Try re downloading the theme or try another theme, could be a bad download or a bad theme in general. I would also make sure you have the latest chhm2.

how exactly do I update chmm2?

the github linnk in OP doesn't have a .3dsx file anywhere so far as I can tell its not as simple as just deleting the current CHMM2 I possess.

So i installed the .cia but when i hit the right trigger it just freezes, what am i doing wrong for the theme downloader.
I'm having the same issue myself.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

This is how it looks like. I have Themes folder inside 3ds/CHMM/Themes

This is a post I made with my problem https://gbatemp.net/threads/custom-themes-help.455859/#post-6980948
The Themes folder should be on the root of the SD Card.

That's because this homebrew is no longer supported. This is a known issue, but the developer left the 3DS scene.
Download the themes on your PC and transfer them manually to your SD card.

I have the latest CHHM2 and it does this with multiple themes.

EDIT: Clarification. It does this with legit themes from the e-shop as well.

i put a few themes in Themes folder at the root of SD card and install v2.8 but all i got was an "error: [string "?"]:1562: error opening smdh file". plz help

I've been attempting to use the theme shuffle but it never seems to work. I enter the themes i want, press x to save it, then exit to the home menu. Whenever I do this, the home menu returns to not having any themes installed. I have no clue what the problem may be. Installing an individual theme gives me no problem though, its only the shuffle.

Because shuffle is broken and the creator has abandoned this project and it is no longer being maintained.

I thought the same thing per another persons issue on Reddit. Didn't help.
Mm that is strange, other than trying another sdcard after deleting the extdata and letting theme manager create a new one and instead of using black theme use no theme, I have no clue. I never had any problems with homebrew version of chhm2, which is what I use.
