Assuming that you can dump the DLC paths with Decrypt9 like the original post says you can, how do you do it?
Sorry for the vague question, but I already went through the whole process of installing custom firmware and it seems like it can only dump from the cartridge.

Since you have CFW, just use the Special Edition CIA from now on. With that, you no longer need to dump the DLC paths.

I was able to select Revelation as the game I wanted to randomize and it seemed like it was working, but nothing has changed aside from character models being swapped around in cutscenes.

Nevermind, I'm pretty sure I forgot to recompress.

Did a birthright run, Only birthright characters randomized. Seems logic. All characters got their correct randomization, at least the ones you own. Allies dont have the correct personal skill/classes, but they do when they join up. MOST IMPORTANTLY, the voice lines and talking picture is not changed, so the new character is there, but its seems like the original character whenever it talks since only in-combat voice lines seemed to have changed, not out of combat ones. Some things went trhough and some didnt.

(I shall provide imgur links when i get around to uploading pictures to showcase just what I mean, if it helps)

Im trying to make Gay fates compatible, this is what i did. plugin is put in and the fatesSE folder is put in aswell, i put in the randomized files into fatesSE folder and overwrite necessary files, guessing the GameDataBin.lz is being replaced, thus causing the issue? how do i fix this, and if it requires re randomization, is there a way to get the same results so i can keep my save?

You have to use the Gay Fates files when you randomize. Redo the randomizer with the Gay Fates files.

I need help troubleshooting this:

Outside of battles, this happens, but in battles its all randomized with voice lines and portrait. However, any conversations are not randomized.
Running with HANS, EU version of birthright.

Also, could someone with the EU version tell me which language goes with which folder? I'd like to support randomizing for any language included with EU Fates in the next update, but I don't have a copy on hand to check everything. I'm assuming that @F is French, @G is German, @S is Spanish, and @I is Italian, but I want to verify first.
Yes your assumption is right

Had this as well but no fix for now.

Edit: I honestly expected it to be like this. As it mainly affects cut scenes there's nothing on the tester's side we can do.

Okay. Im not massively suprised at it, but its ok for the moment. Thanks anyways.

Need some help, things have gone pretty smoothly until It became time to run from the Fire Emblem Archive, When I try to carry over the files from my rom and temporary file for randomization. It refuses to decompress them saying it can not automatically decompress these files, It happens for all of the files there as well so I am stuck and not sure what to do, please help.

Im gonna try running this through NTR instead of HANS, seems better once the setup is done.

I had the issue before. Try using the origninal version of FEAT for the first use, not the one included in the Fates Randomizer Folder. It worked for me, and then I used the one included here for the second FEAT usage.
EDIT: The included FEAT has a different icon, looks like Selena in a lord outfit (I think) and orignal feat has the basic icon.

Did not work for me unfortunately same issue

I'm just gonna quote myself again from page 22 in case you find yourself missing a step.

I extract romFS from game.
I make a copy of romFS (and rename to whatever).
I make a folder called FatesRandom and include the subfolders and files in there.
I run FEAT on FatesRandom to allow the .jar file to read the GameData.
Randomize
Put in romFS copy (Replace files)
Recompress with FEAT.
Build .romfs using THE ENTIRE MODIFIED FOLDER.
Utilize proper coding for software you plan on running it.
- Eg. 00179400.romfs for US birthright as mentioned by OP, 00179800.romfs for US Special Fates

Yes have not missed a step as far as I can see in the case you presented when I would try and run FEAT on FatesRandom I get a list of returns saying it is unable to automatically compress everything that is in there. Here is a Screen cap of the issue, my FatesRandom is NewFolder in this case

Honestly, anyone using HANS and the Homebrew Launcher should really switch to custom firmware and do the NTR method. It's so much easier than having to rebuild the romfs to use with HANS. And for whatever reason, HANS really doesn't like Fates, imo.

Im pretty sure i missed a step or did an incorrect order. I saved the extracted romfs from a decrypt9 cia dump, So i'll test it when i get home and follow your steps. Thanks!
EDIT: Before, it still ran and work. I hope following this will fix the issue i had with voicelines outside of combat and sprites not being randomized correctly
