Idk, maybe with more money they can FINALLY HAVE AN ANTI CHEAT ON MARIO KART DELUXEAaand now I'm definitely not going to get one until homebrew kicks off. Wonder what their online security is like this time around.

Oh boy can't wait to play Super Mario 3 with a retard over the internetOh my lord. Did you all not see what was hidden in THERE? Nes and snes newly added online play!!!!
So, like, we're just going to ignore the xbox and playstation and kids that use that right? Kids that play CoD online, kids that play on xbox.Bad move, Nintendo. Hopefully they abandon that idea. I mean it will be used mostly by kids that do not have the money to pay that shit...
Kids play on Xbox and Playstation, and they still pay for it. If the switch will have any worthwhile multiplayer games, kids will pay for it.Dafuq did you just say? xD
I'm gonna buy the Switch, but I think Homebrew Hacker's will find a solution until Fall anyways.(Why the hell do 12% like the idea)Aaand now I'm definitely not going to get one until homebrew kicks off. Wonder what their online security is like this time around.
No, because PC is a successful platform that doesn't need to rely on stupid paid online and exclusives. The PC is a free platform. Steam is the BEST platform to buy pc games at.Btw guys and idiots
Steam also has to pay for their servers, and they don't want money from you for doing something that was originally free. Fucking Microsoft had to implement that shit, now every company wants to copy..
What's next? Steam Plus?
I think it's gonna be 50 bux for a year, just the same price for The PS4 and Xbox(I hate it that online will cost after fall)Hopefully Ninty can be convinced to just give the damn (S)NES game for free since Sony/Microshaft give about 20 euro worth of games monthly for life. Maybe enough voices putting that point out there will make them change their mind on that.
Also, we don't know how much online play will be. If it's a small cost, then maybe the free for a month thing would make sense.

if it's 60$ for a year, it's fine for mePut the prices at a good level and it'll be great for me as I bet there will be discounts. $60 is so much...

if it's 60$ for a year, it's fine for me

I understand your concern with this; had this issue a lot.
That being said the console is region free (as far as i heard) so most probably that will translate to the fact that Nintendo's policies regarding payments have also become "region free"
As for the topic on hand Nintendo's online game profile is growing (sport games what have you) and Splatoon is becoming a serious thing for them. I honestly never saw the need to go online with my WiiU but then again that's just me. I'm sure the enthusiasts wouldn't mind a subscription as long as that means they get a better service.

no they said it will be free until fall 2017, then it will be a paid serviceUh, i hate to burst this little bubble, but when i watched the event i heard it as "free online, paid additional features via smartphone app" but i'll have to rewatch to be sure.

I know, but from the way they phrased it it sounded like the smartphone service was free until fall, then paid, while online MP is different entirely. I'll go rewatch it, give me a sec.no they said it will be free until fall 2017, then it will be a paid service
