Chances are, if the feature isn't well met, Nintendo will either remove it or make it a Premium feature. But really, Nintendo is trying to listen to fans. The entire show basically screamed, "We are trying! Please love us again!"

I'd be willing to pay if it's like 30$/year, I'm not paying the same prices as the XB1/PS4 subscriptions. 2-3$/month from thousands of players is more than enough to keep the servers alive and smooth.

I'm just salty that I'd have to pay for that in addition to PS+. So glad I don't have to pay for PC connections except for my internet connection itself.

Subscribers will get to download and play a Nintendo Entertainment System™ (NES) or Super Nintendo Entertainment System™ (Super NES) game (with newly-added online play) for free for a month.

Read this carefully. It's interesting what it says.

So you can only keep the game for one month and then it won't play?

Hmm, PS Plus games work as long as you're subscribed. You can even cancel, then renew later and you can play them again.
