Do you like the idea of a paid Nintendo online service?

No but I don't care because I am not into online anyway. I always played on PS3 and Ps4 without online. So, I am fine without it too.

Aaand now I'm definitely not going to get one until homebrew kicks off. Wonder what their online security is like this time around.
I'm gonna buy the Switch, but I think Homebrew Hacker's will find a solution until Fall anyways.(Why the hell do 12% like the idea)

Btw guys and idiots
Steam also has to pay for their servers, and they don't want money from you for doing something that was originally free. Fucking Microsoft had to implement that shit, now every company wants to copy..
What's next? Steam Plus?
No, because PC is a successful platform that doesn't need to rely on stupid paid online and exclusives. The PC is a free platform. Steam is the BEST platform to buy pc games at.

maybe now they have a reasonable chance to build a less laggy, international network of servers. there's a reason sony and microsoft are outdoing nintendo in the online department. and its mostly money.

Hopefully Ninty can be convinced to just give the damn (S)NES game for free since Sony/Microshaft give about 20 euro worth of games monthly for life. Maybe enough voices putting that point out there will make them change their mind on that.

Also, we don't know how much online play will be. If it's a small cost, then maybe the free for a month thing would make sense.

I think it's gonna be 50 bux for a year, just the same price for The PS4 and Xbox(I hate it that online will cost after fall)

Uh, i hate to burst this little bubble, but when i watched the event i heard it as "free online, paid additional features via smartphone app" but i'll have to rewatch to be sure.

I understand your concern with this; had this issue a lot.

That being said the console is region free (as far as i heard) so most probably that will translate to the fact that Nintendo's policies regarding payments have also become "region free"

As for the topic on hand Nintendo's online game profile is growing (sport games what have you) and Splatoon is becoming a serious thing for them. I honestly never saw the need to go online with my WiiU but then again that's just me. I'm sure the enthusiasts wouldn't mind a subscription as long as that means they get a better service.

That's not really how payments work at all.
