I'm sorry for this but I'm fairly new to 3ds hacking.

So I was looking at what I can do if I'm ever stupid and mess up my system. I saw that I could restore my SYSNAND without A9Lh, but then I also saw the same option with "(forced)" next to it. Whats the difference between this and the normal one? Thanks.

Never do it. It means you can force a recovery even if the NAND does not match your system. I did it when I had no other choice and I bricked a system. Always try regular. If it denies it is either a bad backup or not belonging to your system.

Oh okay thanks. Btw, how do you even get a bad backup? I'm a little paranoid now lol.

The only scenario I can think of is either your SD card might be dying when you write the back up to it or the 3ds suddenly loses power in the middle of the backup process, creating an incomplete file.
