hello i have a new 3ds running version 11.2.0 35U and im wondering if i can install unsigned cia's

thanks :D
You have to downgrade your firmware down to 2.1, install arm9loaderhax, and then upgrade back to 11.2 with a custom firmware installed. The procedure to do this is walked through step by step in http://3ds.guide

Yeah hack your 3DS. I followed the guide Giodude linked here on this thread and trust me it's much better than relying on soundhax. Bricking is impossible if you just follow the steps. If an idiot like me could do it so can you.

Giodude literally already linked it http://3ds.guide
Did this yesterday afternoon on my old 3DS that had 11.2.0-35E and worked great, just make sure you follow the steps carefully. On the new 3DS, just remember to have your wireless on or you might run in to some troubles? But those troubles are fixable just by taking the battery out for a couple seconds.

Also, the 2gb SD card that I got with my system wasn't enough for installing the CFW (backups and such already took half the space) so I would recommend getting a 32gb or bigger SD card to fit some homebrew games (or other games :ninja:) and for just in general setting up the whole thing.

Good luck! :)

You can easily downgrade, install Luma and A9LH and restore back to 11.2.
If you only care about legit CIAs, simply get Soundhax, Fasthax and FBI.

if you guys don't mind i would like to ask some stupid questions
like can i change custom firmware easily if i get sick of luma or wish to stream or would i have to redo the whole processes
also why version 2.2 i never have understood that
can i get banned using this?
is it dangerous after the install
does this work on the latest firmware now? or do you still use 9.2
oh and would you recommend A9LH

You've just got to replace files here and there, no big deal.

It's so that you can dump your OTP, which is a requirement for installing A9LH.

Probably not.

Oh no, after the installation you should be 100% A-OK, as long as you don't do anything dangerous (and even if you did, you can restore a NAND backup with decrypt9; remember, you'll have A9LH ;)).

After the installation, you're free to update all the way to the latest firmware (currently 11.2).

oh and would you recommend A9LH

Absolutely.

are there any video tutorials about installing a9lh with the newest firmware and sound hax and everything?
Maybe, but I couldn't recommend following one. In fact, there was a recent video guide responsible for many bricks. What I must recommend you follow is the website "3ds.guide" (having trouble with links right now, so just copy and paste the URL without the quotes). This is the guide that nearly everyone follows, including me, and I can tell you first hand, it works. It will walk you all the way through the process, from soundhax to A9LH.

Yes, just change arm9loaderhax.bin to arm9.bin and you can run luma and install unsigned cias right where you are. Most recommend downgrading for a9lh perm cfw though.

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it

@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.
