I have a 3DS with Luma and A9, a DS Lite, and a TTDS.
I placed the TTDS kernel in my SD, and my TTDS doesn't boot in my DS Lite, nor in my 3DS.
If I recall correctly, Luma and A9 grantes acces to old DS Flashcarts... right?
Or do I need to install a .cia in order to make it recognizable... or a special kernel for my TTDS?

Now, sometimes (without the TTDS kernel) my TTDS appeared in my 3DS as a blank DS cart with no banner, but since I didn't had the TTDS Kernel installed on my SD, I never bothered to see if it worked.

Now that I have a DS Lite, I want to use many Homebrew apps for DS in both my DS Lite and my 3DS.

I came here for help, because I just googled and I couldn't find any information about what do I need.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I have already tried apache thunder's... stuff... and it doesnt work for me.

It only enables DS flashcards that were blocked on some 3DS update. If it never was able to run on the 3DS, not even Luma will read it.

AAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... that explains it.
Well... I have a "R4iSDHC for 3DS".
I'll try that.

But hey, do I need to install a .cia in order to make the R4 work?
That one gave me troubles when trying Apache thunder's stuff. Out of 10 times I inserted the Flashcart, I was able to load it just ONCE.

Nah, just put it and it should pop up and run just fine. Sadly, I discovered this after buying the time bomb R4i from r4isdhc.com. Could've just used my old Acekard 2i instead.

You could also wait for TWLoader to have ROM compatibility and run NDS ROMs without a flashcard at all. Also, thanks for posting on this thread, @nechigawara. Finally got those links in your signature back.

Hmmm... I will try them.

But hey, I think that... it'll be useless.
My TTDS is not even working in my sister's DS.

I changed the kernel already, changed the SD and nothing.
I guess that I'll buy another TTDS later. And of course I will look at NTR Launcher and R4 Stage 2.

Does anybody knows how to open a Flashcard? :creep:

Just pry off each side of the flashcard. You could try to install YSMenu.

I... I don't want to play DS roms, it may sound like complete bullshit, but I truly don't want to load DS roms.
I'm doing it mostly for Homebrew Apps.
But thanks anyway, it's good to know that there's still someone working on that.

Yes, YSMenu... I never liked that one. Again, YSMenu just gives more ROM's compatibility. I don't want to play commercial roms.
Just Homebrew.

Oh, then just use TWLoader. At this moment, it can boot homebrew apps.

Yes! This was also part of my doubt.
There's so many options out there... I mean...
NTR Launcher, R4 Stage 2, and now TWLoader...

Which one should I use... I mean, wich one is better? I guess it depends on the flashcard?

Flashcard? TWLoader will be able to run ROMs by itself, but is also a shortcut to load a game located on your flashcard.

Just put your homebrew in a NDS folder inside your 3DS' microSD and run them using the TWLoader. No flashcard needed.

I really, really need the flashcart.
The Homebrew that I'm interested requires many space just to hold the required files and the things that I want to make with them.
This is why I insist in having a working Flashcart.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
