I've had trouble finding information on a problem I'm experiencing with Homebrew Browser. Please help, if you can.

In the past I have not had trouble downloading apps directly from the browser. In the past couple days I get the same error after about 1/3 of the download "failed creating folder". I do not have the lock on the SD card and have tried reinstalling the browser. I can still use installed apps and access the browser, just no downloads will work.

I've been out of the loop for a while, is the browser still supported?

If so, I may need direction to a good guide to on how to place downloaded apps (ex. genesis plus) on my sd card to fire them up on homebrew.

I'm hoping someone can help this noob, I just grabbed a "new" wii and have been trying to softmod to allow playing games from either sd card, usb thumb drive or usb hdd drive. I've been told that the usb thumb drive / hdd drive is easier is this true?

I then tried to follow the link at the end about using a usb drive for games however this required a 3rd guide where the download links are dead which i can't therefore perform. Just to confirm all that has been actioned on the wii is the first guide. The nes, snes emulators appear to be working. Unsure what direction to go now, id like to get my wii games (iso's or I believe I can convert these?) playing from a sd / usb hdd / thumb drive (which ever is easier). I'd be grateful for any advice as these guides I've been using might be outdated and there is a lot of conflicting information online.

USB drive is easiest. You need to install a cIOS first to use usb: https://sites.google.com/site/completesg/backup-launchers/installation

Thank you, do I need to do anything with back up along the lines of bootmii or Priiloader? Before I attempt the above? If so does Priiloader still require a gc controller?

Make sure when following that cIOS guide that you choose "beta52" for both slots 249 and 250. I don't know why it suggests beta53 but that can lead to compatibility problems.

Priiloader works with either Wii remote or GC controller.

Right, thanks for catching that! I'm worried I'll mess it up.

But i use the newer version of the apps eg priiloader 8 etc?
... I think step 1 is basically the same as the guide I followed earlier.....?
Oh and should I check and if needed update the hbc and bootmii?

And then cross reference with the above advice, should that cover me for all? Or do i totally ignore this and just follow the first steps above and use the correct version?

Need some help here guys. I'm trying to install CFW on a 3DS XL on 6.2.0-10E. I've got as far as running the nds file off the flash card but I get a blank screen rather than booting into decrypt. I'm using the Decrypt 9 (MSET) tut.

Hi guys i want to ask... I just played resident evil umbrella chornicle with usbloadergx. But when i reached stage 2 mansion incident, it's stuck on loading.. And when i played zelda TP, it just stucked on security warning screen.. I checked both wbfs files with SHA verification onwii backup manager, it told me "pass" and has a green colored font. Did it means the wbfs are okay? i have update all my ios and cios with syscheck+modmii too.. Please help me

Shit you are really working on this man, I'll help you out but we need to create like a form to fill for posting questions, that way it'll be more easy for everyone to find their problem in others post, something like:


My Wii is 3.2U (so now we know 2 things in one little number of information)
I was on 3.4U but I've done the Oct23rd FIX and used the cIOS and IOS Downgraders
I installed the cIOS36_r7 installer from Waninkoko thru the Wi-Fi method
I'm using the Backup Launcher 002 fix in HBC (.dol version)

Problem:
I "bought" PIKMIN last night and today tryed to launch it but only gave me a black screen, I burnt with NERO6 at 16X in Sony DiscID: D21 DVD+R, I have many games working with this DVD's working flawlessly, what did I do wrong...?? please help cause I am a n00b and other question, can you please post a picture of where the search button is please, everybody is telling me to use it, but I haven't been able to find it, thanks in advance...!!!

If you're gonna burn a disc, you should do it at a slow speed so its more likely it'll burn without mistakes.

With this new NES class mini I got in the retro mood and decided to buy one for Christmas for my oldest daughter (6 years old)...wrong! That thing is sold out everywhere! So to find out if she's into gaming at all I thought it would be a good idea to try out some simpler older games first. So I hacked the Wii via ModMii (great programm btw) and now I've got a custom menu and everything but when it comes to running an installed Virtual Console channels the whole things turns black and I have to hold the power button to reset it again.
Can someone please give me some pointers?

If they weren't purchased on that console then you either have to patch system IOSes to restore the signing bug or run them from an EmuNAND folder. The latter is easier and much safer.
