Hey guys, I just made an interesting discovery. I don't know if anyone has already tried this but Mario's NSMB2 model works with the SMM3DS NSMBU model's animations.
Can you post a video/Screenshot? (For proof)

@Manito I know about this, it's just that we need to find a way to replace the model.

This looks freaky.(Model swap attempt 1)

Did you try to replace it with NSMB2 (3DS) at least it should be in a similar format.
NSMB2: BCMDL
SMM 3DS: BCH
What version of Ohana are you using?
Latest.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I just used the regular Ohana and pressed the "edit" button. This model swap attempt with animations on looks horrifying.
Send me that version please.

It's not ready for a release, I still have to fix the padding, which @CeeDee seemed to not care about.
It'd really be better if he does it himself, it would be a nice training if he wants to make more SMM Wii U texture hacks in the future.

BTW @CeeDee, if you want to make more SMM 3DS texture hacks, you can just give it to me in the same size as the Wii U textures, and I'll do the rest.

So, you just opened the game's textures and replaced them with some from NSMB DS, then recompiled the game? If it is really that easy, I might want to try this out...

You say that even the NSMBU backgrounds are just multiple layers. Perhaps we could change them to the backgrounds of NSMB DS. It would really complete the transition from the U style to the DS one.

It definitely is possible to do this, however, It won't exactly look like the original.

Interesting. Do you know what tool OP uses to open these files? I downloaded this and attempted to open the texture .ctpk files in ohana3ds rebirth, but I just got an exception.

Yep! (Though, I won't be able to make a video for it...)
Yeah, if you record it with Camera, nobody will notice the difference.
I need a person with a capture card.

BTW those textures are promised to have a higher quality than even M1, M3 and MW! (better than those uncompressed)
