Maybe. I've been hearing mixed answers from people. If the n3ds is already hacked you'll be able to install fieldrunners through freeshop and it will actually transfer over in a system transfer (assuming you purchased it prior to being pulled off the eshop)

No, because it needs to have a valid ticket. It has to been downloaded from eshop purchased or no purchase. Tickets are console specific and signed for only that console

Well I'm only passing on the information, someone said they had fieldrunners purchased on their NNID but installed it through freeshop and it transferred over fine. Maybe we need someone to test this though?

Although, if they have the legit signed ticket on their console (because they bought it legit), then deleted fieldrunners, and reinstall through freeshop, it might be possible.

Definitely needs to be tested.

eshop of course. pirated content does not run on a clean console unless it's legit. freeshop crap is not legit.

I've been told if you have purchased the game through the eShop but then downloaded it through freeshop it will transfer over

Yes this is true. Can help people if they can't access eShop to redownload stuff they have bought. Game files are the same, no such thing as "freeShop crap". The difference is Nintendo having a record of you owning it, so ticket is transferred. It's only if Nintendo have no record of you owning it that the ticket is not transferred and therefore the game does not show on the home menu even though the files are there (same effect as putting a friend's SD card containing bought games into your console. Legit paid-for game files are there but no ticket so games do not show up).

Is it helpful in anyway if the system to be downgraded has FieldRunners? I think I finally found someone to do a system transfer downgrade with just don't know if they have the game too :/

The whole point of having fieldrunners on the hacked 3ds is that you edit the save so when you transfer the hacked game to the unhacked 3ds, you can write to the nand. Having fieldrunners on the unhacked 3ds will do nothing.

If for some reason you can't redownload it through eShop you can download it through freeshop and it'll work.
Yeah as long as you keep transferring back after a week, you can downgrade as many as you want

Well if you do that you'll loose access to the NNID with your DSiWare game
