The clue with PCSX ReARMed is in the name - it's optimised for ARM processors. That doesn't mean it couldn't be ported, but we really need a core with PPC optimisations as a base to get anything playable.
I think that a pcsx emulator existed for powerpc macs, I dont know if that can helps. And also a nintendo 64 emulator for powerpc macs existed, it was called Sixtyforce

About N64: don't vWii N64 emulators run just fine? (I remember I played Shadowman on vWii's Not64 and it worked fine).
Maybe if Not64 can just be ported to WiiU, that would resolve the problem??
a n64 emulator requires rewriting the main graphics plugin using nintendo's graphics api along with a multi-core powerPC recompiler which is not just a simple case of recompiling an existing wii emulator, some games require a more accurate rdp plugin to even boot, at the cost of speed. most good games are multiplayer so support of many controller types need to run at the same time. you also need a legacy mode to run older mods. and thats just few of the many factors that go into it. and thats not even knowing the wii kernel stuff.
yeah they run fine on the games they work on but there are still a crapton of games that the emulator doesnt run and some with speed issues
the entire issue of porting wii stuff to wiiu is the graphics processor of the wiiu is undocumented so its extremely hard t do ports that use 3d stuff.
thats also a good point. wii64/not64's graphics implementation wasnt all that great as the renderer would have corrupted polygons at time for no intelligible reason.

Thanks!
I'll try, though Ancient Stone Tablets did boot fine.
With BS Zelda I got a black screen no DSI exception at least

Do BS/Satellaview games even run on the Snes9x core? :P They should load most BS ROMs fine.

I ran Cave Story tonight on the NXengine core. Looks great, plays great, but saving crashes it every time, sadly. I even downloaded a profile.dat file to put into my folder (which lets you load fine) but saving even with the file already created still results in a fatal crash of some kind. It just freezes up and does nothing, forcing you to hold the power button on the console. I don't think it's a read-only flag issue, either, as I made sure to uncheck that.

Yes I have posted about this several times already but can't get a reply in regards when a fix might be available sucks that save states also don't work lol.

About Retroarch SD card reading delay (again):
I've noticed that regardless of the core, neogeo and CPS roms directories load almost instantly, while other directories (Genesis, NES, SNES, GBA) are slow.

Considering that CPS and Neogeo roms follow MAME standard naming convention, maybe there is something Retroarch WiiU doesn't like in 'normal' filenames? Maybe the space? Maybe special characters?? Maybe roms long names??

I don't know exactly the culpirite, I've already used a batch renamer to remove all spaces from filenames. But the result is still the same. I will continue my research and hopefully I'll find some result.

No it black screens for me but loads fine in Snes9x 2010
Ah thank you for letting me know.
I was indeed thinking about switching to Snes9x 2010 to try it out, good to know it works there. :)

Also, @the_randomizer, I started having the same -3 issue with the SD card too.
I suspect it is a problem with the card adapter (Micro SD adapter) because the computer also struggles to recognize it.
I believe I have a spare one, so I hope to fix this soon enough.

What you can do is set up an FTP server (FTPiiU) and update the files you need without having to take the SD card out, saving on wear and tear. I don't know what's causing it, as it is worrisome (and I don't have the means to get a new Wii U anytime soon). That being said, I wish that the HBL just kicked back to the menu and not lock up the console.

I wish I knew why some cores loaded directories faster and others didn't, it's very strange.

Yes I'm gonna do that, thanks for the heads up.

TL;DR

Is it possible to run these cores through haxchi on sysnand via HBL 1.4?

If not is it possible to run these cores through Loadiine as an RPX loader?

(Or do we need the updated web exploit payloads to load RPX from HBL 2.0 or loadiine?)

You mean RPX cores? Yeah, I run Snes9x all the time without issues in RPX form.

Thanks for fast response!

I thought big RPX (like FBA) required HBL 2.0 which could not be run from haxchi??

I've noticed that launching the Retro Launcher from the Homebrew Launcher Channel doesn't quite work... is there a Retro Launcher Channel, yet?
