I got a few more questions sorry.
First does this completely leave each 3ds unbanned, or is that only if you dont have an eshop ban on the source?
Second do you need to call nintendo to make a new nnid on the old system, or can you just generate a new one(I would add instruction on how to do this to the op for those of us that dont care about phbank or have any nnid related info we want to keep)?

The source 3ds will become fully unbanned.
The target will not.

The unbanned 3ds can be treated as a "brand new" 3ds.

The target system ends up banned, so you sacrifice a system. However, something is in the works that avoids this, but you still need an unbanned system to dump the ITCM and Secureinfo_A from.

Yes, provided the developers decide to release it. I have no say in the matter. But essentially, it's an ARM9 binary that loads the CTRCert of an unbanned system into the ITCM of a banned system in order to sign DeviceCert with the unbanned ID. Now, this may mean that the unbanned system could get banned (or both) if it goes online, but we don't know yet. But it does totally unban a system, albeit rather hacky in its current form.

Yeah. We found some neat stuff last night that resulted in an N3DS getting bricked because we were using the CTRCert from a 2DS, which caused the eShop to think the system was an O3DS and caused an update nag. So, in the name of science, we updated and got bricked (duh). It's been amusing. We had someone patch Luma in a way that fixed this though.

guys i did a system transfer from banned o3ds to brand new n3ds xl like 6 days ago before this tut was posted, and it did not Transfer the ban! i was even able to use my nnid from the banned o3ds but the banned 3ds didnt become unbanned!!! the whole banned-unbanned thing is in the console id and console id doesnt get transferred with a system transfer!

I just want to say if you buy a 3ds just to unbann your old 3ds and return the now banned one, please don't do that. my nephew has experienced getting a bad 3ds from gamestop and they didn't want to take it back because they thought he did it or something. you got yourself banned don't throw other people under the bus for your mistakes, thank you and goodbye.

just system transfer thats all there is no secret to it) ...all do i did backup mine nnidsave.bin and injected an empty one plus this https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-miiverse-custom-image-tool.415505/page-69#post-6787736 to enter eshop and buy Fieldrunners, then i injected my nnidsave.bin back and sys transferred... now the nnid is linked to the n3ds xl and i still can enter eshop with it

Why would the ban transfer? That makes no sense to me lol, and would throw out everything we've been trying to figure out over the past few days. LFCS_B on the target system has been reported to not be changed after a sys transfer, and everything other than maybe SecureInfo_A that would track 2812 should be in OTP and be literally impossible to overwrite with a system transfer, can someone explain in legit detail how it would transfer?

022 is permanent console ban.

if you only have 002, you can wait for a week more.

So here is the thing,you transfer your system with your nnid when you are changing your device ID right?

This time the nnid could be successfully transfer to another console

But the actually device ID didn't change after you reboot the system，so the previous one is still banned

And the important part is the nnid is already move to another console,right?

This is just a theory of mine to explain what is happened

I am very happy to see this be proved by someone else and my pokebank finally could be saved!

The problem is that my O3DS is banned and two, my O3DS has Legend of Zelda Four Swords Legit from eshop.
It will fucking destroy my New 3DS being banned. If I System Transfer.

What the hell can I do? I have an spare 2DS almost unused just in case.

You can downgrade your new New 3DS with "DSiWare downgrade" with your 2DS. Then you could install A9Lhax on the new New, install all games and transfer all saves from banned 3DS to the new one and forget about the banned 3DS

Do what Emanuele says, except transfer the ban to the 2DS after and scrap that instead of the o3DS, unless of course you prefer the 2DS over the o3DS, lol.

1. Ban to Ban has been tested and works to unban the source 3DS.
2. Nobody knows because nobody is sure exactly why this works in the first place, lol.

Is there someone could have a try to system transfer a banned system（temporary changing the device ID）with an nnid to an unbanned system？

This may not be able to unban the banned system

but may unlink and transfer the nnid of the banned system to the unbanned one

A way to save the purchases and pokebank of nnid，right？

I just can not try with only banned n3ds with two unbanned o3ds......

If someone prove this，I think I need to buy another n3ds now
