So I need to validate that my OOThax is working - however I have no clean systems, all 5 have 9.2 sysnand and 11.2 emunand with A9LH and Luma.

When I install OOThax - either in sysnand or emunand, it does not work on 11.2 emunand. I have gone through the install process MANY times and yes I have chosen the proper version and region using the installer.

No matter what I do, using OOThax after install fails to load. How can I be sure that my OOThax is installed and working properly for 11.2 system without actually updating to 11.2?

I'm guessing the only way is to hard mod, back up, update officially and then downgrade back with hard mod.

Let me know if you have any other thoughts!

If you only have A9LH consoles, you can't run the Oot exploit (maybe neither ALL cart exploits).
Tried the same with Oot and Stickerhax on my A9LH consoles (O3DS, O3DSXL, N3DSXL) and can't run in any of them.

But installed several FW hax on the CARTs for different OFW consoles and it worked every time, ;)

After entering homebrew, first install menuhax. Restart console, enter homebrew with menuhax and then downgrade.

I get this screen if I just power the 3ds on. If I press down on the d-pad I can boot up into the normal 3Ds platform. Must have done something wrong. Help?

Hello,
I got a new N3DS today with firmware 9.9, I installed Hombrew Launcher and Menuhax and starting downgrading.
But it got the Nintendo Error on the Lower Screen while installing cias in the sysDowngrader, now I have Black Screens and I cannot boot into HBL. What now? Is it bricked?

Try booting without SD card inserted.
If it's not booting, turn off your n3ds and boot it holding down A+R+L+Up(DPad). If your're lucky, you'll boot into recovery mode and let you repair your system updating your system to 11.2 (harder to downgrade, but you have a working system)

Did you follow Plailect's guide, or other guide? Uninstall menuhax (by changing theme) and install menuhax again (follow Plailect's guide). https://plailect.github.io/Guide/

Turn off 3DS, remove SD card and turn on the console.

That means your "menuhax works".
If you cannot boot into homebrew could be because of your menuhax configuration.
There are three types of config
Type 0: You boot homebrew if you hold down L while booting your system.
Type 1: Boot homebrew ONLY if you press a button in particular. If not, you boot your sysnand.
Type 2: Boot homebrew ONLY IF YOU DO NOT press a button in particular. If you press that button you boot into sysnand

What is menuhax and what is the point. What is all this emuNAND and sysNAND stuff I keep seeing.

Also, I bought a New 3ds pre-installed with Custom Firmware on it (Armloader or something like that) and I wanted to od a system transfer from my old 3DS XL to my new 3DS XL which has CFW. My question is, will doing the transfer delete the CFW? Because I want to transfer the data from my old 3DS that has no home-brew or anything to my new 3DS that has CFW installed on it, but I don't want to do it only to find out that the CFW has been completely erased. Please help!

Also, if I take out the SD Card before starting up the new 3DS with CFW on it, then it never turns on. Why is this?
Because older versions of Arm9LoaderHax boot using arm9loaderhax.bin on the SD card root
This doesn't mean your version is obsolete though, just be sure to keep the SD in when you're turning on the system

You'll need another hacked 3ds with an exploitable DSiware.

Could you please expand on this? I might be able to borrow a friends 3DS and homebrew it using my gateway. I don't think he's played it in years.

https://plailect.github.io/Guide/dsiware-downgrade.html

Note it will be a lot easier if you install a9lh on your friend's console first.

Also, one of you is going to lose your data unless you have a third spare system (doesn't have to be hacked)

Example scenarios after installing a9lh on your friend's console :
1. You transfer to his console, buy Fieldrunners, install the hacked save, and transfer back. You keep your data, he loses his
2. You backup his NAND and SD card, buy Fieldrunners on his console, install hacked save, and transfer to yours. You will have a copy of his data and he can restore his console, call up Nintendo to ask the NNID be relinked to his console, and have everything back the way it was before. You lose your data.
3. You transfer to the third console, backup his NAND and data, buy Fieldrunners and install the hacked save on his console, transfer to your console, install a9lh on it, he restores his data and rings up Nintendo like before, then you transfer from the third console back to yours. Nobody loses anything! (Except the guy that owns the third console)

You would buy a DSiWare game on the system with CFW, inject hacked saved data into it (This is where CFW is absolutely needed), then do a system transfer to the unhacked system

Use the guide that Quantumcat ninja'd me with :ninja:
