Hacking Issue SRing on Moon

If that's possible I would probably want to do that. The ability to keep or back up my current firmware would be preferred just in case.
I know if I still use menuhax with Luma I'm pretty sure menuhax is only supported on older firmware.. or at least 2.0 is.

Mabe it's because you are on a regular old 3ds and not a old xl which soft resets without rebooting.

Here are the GameYob files;
https://www.mediafire.com/?s4y24yv669jrqe5
You may notice I have a VBA save file in there also.. here's the thing- GameYob can read those, but it doesn't write to them. When I started the game I started it on VBA to give myself a shiny then moved the files to the 3DS. GameYob only seems to save when you exit a game to the emulator menu, not when actually using the 'save' function in the game itself. Alternatively it also has savestates. But of course none of these are anything VBA can read.

@LunarXDiviner Since I don't know how to capture while in Homebrew mode, Homebrew GameYob screenshot will take from my iPhone SE.
This is a test with 1.0.8 with out your files, I will test your files ASAP. My 3DS is N3DS with A9LH + Luma3DS 6.6 on SysNAND 11.2.

@LunarXDiviner Another test with your data, although I decide to use 10.8 GameYob from GitHub Page instead.
Homebrew GameYob screenshot is taking from my iPhone SE like last time.

These 2 Tests are still on my US N3DS with A9LH + Luma3DS 6.6 on SysNAND 11.2.

Hm, so the second one appears to work at least. Thanks for the test. Today's a holiday so I won't get around to messing with my 3DS until later in the evening.

I said the fact from what I saw. The one who rude first is yourself.
This thread is like "I have a problem but I will never change my setting even though it's a reason of my problem, Please help me".

Well, atleast you said you find even it can't be fix.

Just FYI,
- A9LH + Luma3DS can emulated GB/GBC better using Virsual Console
- As @ichidansan said, Luma3DS is easier to install. Even A9LH one is also easy: https://plailect.github.io/Guide/
- Franken FW is not how 3DS design to work with, I used to using it a long time ago. More problem could occur. You have to move on.
Franken Firmware, a controlled one that is, does not give any issues. I know about it, I wrote a tutorial on using one before HTTPWN came around, tons of people apparently used it. It gives no issues at all in the long run.

Still, if using an exploitable firmware, CFW is the best option.

I stopped using it when I wasn't found any problem so I'm not sure will it be any problem later.
(like Rxtools, since you have to keep some of your NAND to be outdated)
But I still think it's not the way 3DS design to work. And community less using it, may be less than Rxtools.

It doesn't cause any issues to have an upgraded friends system module and NVer. Unless the installation fails, in which case you might be screwed.

Then we shouldn't suggest it anymore even if it's work except for the console that done A9LH already because of that risk.

I didn't suggest it, I'm merely stating that it won't cause random issues. Not as long as it is a simple, controlled Frankenfirm like it is.

Well, I may or may not have made a mistake- downgraded to 9.2.0 successfully, but now menuhax 2.0 does not work.. figures, cause I'm pretty sure it only works on a certain firmware range and 9.2.0 is below that. What do I do now to get Luma installed?

I fixed menuhax but now I can't launch Moon at all. I tried using this guide but I can't get very far because I don't have a large enough SD card.. Maybe I shouldn't have done anything at all, at least I wouldn't have made it worse..

Edit; borrowed my brother's 32 GB SD- see if I can complete this setup..

If you decide to use A9LH, you don't have to bother with EmuNAND, so no need for large SD space.

But, if you want to continue using Menuhax, it's up to you. But it's need SD space to create emuNAND to use instead of SysNAND.
Also, it will have some problems with DSiware/Virtual Console.

Well, I've been trying to follow this guide but I think I've hit a snag;

~Properly Configuring Luma3DS & Updating RedNAND~
1. Boot into the Homebrew Launcher. (If you have followed this guide, you should be autobooting into the Homebrew Launcher via menuhax)
2. Open Luma3DS (this can sometimes black screen, just try again)
3. Activate "Show NAND or user string in System Settings"
4. Press Start to save and boot into RedNAND.
5. If you boot into the home menu, you have successfully launched RedNAND.
It doesn't want to do this. It either gets stuck on a black screen or reboots menuhax.
Do you know what's happening?

You have to ask @ichidansan since i never use Menuhax setting. The one I use is A9LH.
FYI, if you install emuNAND on borrow SD, you can't return it to him.
Because all your nessecory files is on his SD (include EmuNAND partitionn), it won't works if you remove it.

At this point I'm just horribly confused and need this to work so I can update and play Moon again (because it seems downgrading made it unplayable). Can I easily install a9lh from where I am now or will that be an ordeal and a half?

Edit; Okay.. setting menuhax to autoboot like the guide said was the issue. Putting it back to how I usually have it (hold a button to trigger) seems to have fixed it.
