Even if it isn't 100% for others I doubt someone will risk a brick for a 10% better boot rate bro.

Like that sprint (might be T-Mobile) commercial with the guys getting haircuts
"Would you pay twice as much for a 1% better haircut then me?"
Huh? A9LH has a significant number of advantages over MenuHax than just bootrate, not to mention it's quite easy to install and pretty much safe at this point.

See the main problem there is "pretty much". As long as theres that chance, its best to recommend menuhax to those people who are less tech savvy and nervous because a9lh requires decent knowledge of the 3ds. Plus, for the sake of the argument, name them

It certainly isn't. A9LH requires the ability to read a guide. MenuHax has a much larger screw-up potential. Heck, even before SDless A9LH existed. At least it wouldn't boot, rather than booting to SysNAND and a "less tech-savvy person" updated that one mistakenly.

But if they're smart enough to follow a guide, then theyre smart enough to know not to update unless they see gw3d, or emu :rofl2:. And both methods have guides anyway. Just a9lh is fairly new , and even safea9lhinstaller is flooded with issues in the GitHub with people claiming it bricked them

That's a ridiculous comaprison. Even a minor slip up will make them screw up. Not to mention, if I install CFW for someone who knows nothing about the 3DS so they can play *cough*backups*cough*, they may screw it up easily. Even if I give them instructions. Not to mention, it's much easier to follow a guide once rather than remembering to check every time you need to update.

Not nessicerilly reficulous, because if you have to send it to someone else, you weren't tech savvy enough to do it. And again, both ways have guides anyway, just menuhax didn't touch sysnand, which brings me back to my safer point

All it did wasa copy to your sdcard

What about TWL/AGB titles? It's far more difficult for a non-tech-savvy person to know how to install them, they have to mess with both NANDs, not to mention the MenuHax guides are OLD. MenuHax is obsolete as a CFW entrypoint. A9LH IS the current mainstream entrypoint, and less and less people will be willing to troubleshoot Menuhax users, similarly to how the answer to any RXTools issue is currently "switch to Luma and A9LH".

While I do agree with that less people will be willing to trouble shoot Menujax users, I disagree with that tiles point. If you know how to install it to one nand you know how to install it to another. Plus, Rx is dead because it didn't recieve updates, which is why people are reared away from using it. And plus, we got here helping the op troubleshoot his menuhax setup.

And my cave of despair is better :rofl2::rofl2:

So a non-tech-savvy person messing with both NANDs? That's a recipe for disaster.

And a9lh isn't? I mean bro, your literally corrupting your nand on purpose. Rather have a no savvy touch that? And it's only installing a game. FBI auto detects where they go so there's no human error there

A9lh requires a9lh to remain working. If a9lh is botched, there is no stock (as good as brick). With menuhax, just need to reapply menuhax.

You have clearly not helped like 20+ people personally with 3DS shit. The most confusing shit to explain to them is the whole sysnand/emunand what to boot for what purpose if you need decrypt9 you need to do this "the screen is yellow what did I do wrong" - "nothing it just crashed and did not work that happens you just try again" and loads and loads of more.

A9LH is just having your one nand. "can I update it" "yes" and that is all the help. "how do I decrypt9" "press start while powering on the system and you are gucchi" - not to speak of the bootrate problems or anything else. The only negative is the installation but N3DS owners can one click it back and that is that.

If you want a way to go back ask and take a vanilla 9.2 NAND backup for restoring back later.

There is really nothing A9LH looses at. OK right, you need some keys in a database because A9LH boot is so early that the keys are not set in memory yet.

But yeah A9LH is much more simple setup and so much more nicer to install to someone who is noob than menuhax setup. Or to tutorial through. Optimal menuhax setup is hex editing, lot of weird clutter and a lot of files on SD card that is confusing to keep track for those who just want to use their CFW but not get to know them much better. I know from the dozens of people I helped out personally with these things.

Except it won't be botched because in order for that to happen there'd have to be a completely new revision to the hardware, which wouldn't affect current users.

And SafeA9LHInstaller is literally a 1-click tool to do all of it for you. Do you need to be tech savvy to click a button?

This. Explaining how to fix something or get something to work in a MenuHax CFW installation to someone who doesn't know much about the 3DS is a pain in the ass.

It is also easy to "help" people who bricked after messing with a9lh, just refer them to hardmod services right?
Yes. Easier than explaining to someone who accidentally updated their sysNAND on their non-a9lh setup that they either need a hardmod or a DSiWare hax with a second 3DS.

If you use luma with emunand and have luma set to autoboot by using Luma's boot.3dsx instead of the hbl's, the bootrate is 100%,the only thing that has the lower bootrate is menuhax and since menuhax has no more updates, its considered obsolete.Personally I'm happy with my setup since I have everything I need on emunand and downgrading again isn't very safe since downgrading any type of hardware can be dangerous.I could see if I was on a new 3ds,I would do the otpless install but for the old 3ds it's not safe for me.

Edit-I may still do a9lh soon but I might get a second 3ds first before I let my only 3ds get bricked.I really don't want to have to play showdown because my 3ds got bricked from a9lh lol

I've two 3ds and both with menuhax and rxtools, boot rate is 100% and since i'm a casual player i dont see the point of migrate my setup to a9lh.

Still today i'm updatind my 3ds without any issue.

But i'll do the question, what is the great vantage do migrate to a9lh? with rxtools i can encrypt the games to my system, that is possible too with a9lh? Beside of faster boot, what a9lh can give me that rxtools cant?
