Hi there everyone, so i'll try to give a much info as i can upfront...
This is the problem: Apparently there is a corrupt file in my Wii U that renders just a couple of my legit games fully unplayable. i Would like to learn how to fix that instead of just running backups.
I would actually like to use the game disks i own to play my games, so i want to first know if there is a legit way of doing that. I ask your help for it.
My Wii U is currently in the lastest firmware update.
So, here is the issue:
I have over 30 Physical games for my WiiU. All with the exception of 3 work:
Bayonetta 2
Devil's Third
Kirby Rainbow Curse
Every other game works flawlessly. Except these 3. Here is what happens:
Bayonetta 2: Goes into menus, as soon as it starts loading up gameplay, console Hard freezes. Needs to turn it off and then back on for it to work.
Devil's Third: Game freezes during first cutscene. Home button still works.
Kirby Rainbow Curse : Game freezes on the first cutscene. home button still works.
Here are the things i have tried, NONE cause any changes:
Tested different discs.
Formated Wii U and reinstalled everything.
Formated Wii U and played just the bad games without any updates.
Left the Wii U unplugged for over a day
Cleaned the back fan
Made sure the Wii U is not heating up (all other games work fine)
Deleted all game files and tried again
Tried contacting my Local Nintendo certified repair shop (they won't even take the console in. Have zero clue on what could it be)
Here is ONE thing that gave me a different result
The Bayonetta 2 DEMO works normally.
Bayonetta 1 also works fine. the issue is just with Bayonetta 2.
After many months of trying to understand what happened to my console, the best guess i have is that some file got corrupted possibly during a bad update or a power outtage. So now im stuck with that. I would really like to see if i can fix my console, maybe by using Homebrew and hacking tools i can give the console a TRUE reset to factory (since just formatiing doesn't actually delete everything it's suppose to delete?) I dunno, i'm stumped here and stuck.
I really don't want to ''just play backups off an external HDD" to be the only solution here, as i really would like to play the games i legit have, so if anybody can help me out here, it would be greatly appreciated.
