I deleted the cias and downloaded the regular one + seeds (whatever)

Tried to import my .main backup and it said "this is not compatible with this version of the game"

Um. Wut?!

More info;
I put the .main from moon and put it into sun. Was that why?

Pokemon games use a secure value with saves, intended to stop duplication of pokemons with save backup abuse. Basically the save is tied to that specific installation by the game counting how many times it's been launched and matching that with the secure value stored in the save file (at least that's how I hear it works).
JK's Save Manager should be able to export the secure value from the old CIA's save (when it was formerly installed) and you could import it into the clean copy.

But since you've deleted it already, you'll just have to wait until someone patches Pokemon Sun/Moon support into the Secure Value Patcher tool, that lets you fix the saves manually for importing.

Or you could just delete the current secure value like that other guy said if that works, I have no idea.

okay, what program are you using.

Also, make sure you initialize the games first.
(let them load the language selection screen, but no need to start and save)

I'm able to import my saves with JKSV, no issue there.

Sweet. So my data is practically useless? This worked for many other games. Shit.

Nah you can fix it. Just try deleting the secure value after it's imported from JK's Save Manager like that guy said, that might work, I dunno.

But if it doesn't, when Pokemon Sun/Moon support is patched into the Secure Value Fixer you can patch it up and import the save easy.

Sorry, did I ruin your delusion for a bit?

You are perma-banned on ALL online games because you were so STUPID and went online for a GAME THAT WASN'T EVEN RELEASED LMFAO!

Dude, there is no proof yet that it's a perma ban. A huge majority of the people here are first time offenders when it comes to be banned online. Every first time is always temporary, not permanent.

used savedatafiler.

I was using savedatafiler, until I decided to use JKSV, because It allows me to name my saves.
And it hasn't given me any issues so far.

actually there's various screenshots from emails saying it is perm.

Also, 022-2812 has been perm for repeat miiverse hackers.

If they don't revoke the eShop ban I couldn't care less tbh - I'll just use freeshop again. I care, however, about the online ban because I like playing monster hunter rip :rofl2:

Guys, I'll call Nintendo tomorrow, asking if they can unlink my NNID. Stay updated, I'll tell them that my New 3DS isn't my main 3DS anymore, and that I want to transfer my NNID to an old 3DS bought second-handed, but that it can't be transfered over.

Aurora since I think you might know something about this I'd like to ask you something if you dont mind :).
I saw someone propose to change deviceID through ITCM and then blocking write permissions with a9lh at start of boot so that fcdcert cant be used to overwrite the ID. Do you think that would work at all?

Also someone claims to be able to recreate a "legal" LocalFriendSeedCode_B, but shouldnt that be impossible since they are console specific and encrypted/digitally signed?

Did no one try changing one byte of those last 8 of the seed? Luma stubs the RSA checks, so unless Ninty has a server-side database of valid seeds it might work.
