Gaming Has anyone gotten banned from playing Pokemon Moon online?

Permabans for playing a leaked game early are unprecedented, if Nintendo is permabanning us then it's the first time they'll have ever done so, safe bet it's temporary. Permabans were usually reserved for repeat offenders and ban-evaders.

Yeah. I, for one, have never been banned or been the target of an infraction before so I expect this to be a temporary ban that will go away within a month.

that's not a full fix - NNID is still required for miiverse (lol) and stuff like pokebank.

Plus downloading game updates through eshop is so much easier...

oh well i guess ill just use pokemon showdown after they update with sun and moon pokemon.... sucks but i guess ill live with it for now, hopefully we find a way around this or its just a tempban. guess im getting off here.......

Even Reviewers were banned and told not to use online maybe that alone will make Nintendo have the ban temporary.

I just came on to tell all of you guys: Please do NOT listen to anything enMTW says. I hate to bust your balls, but I was an active member of r/jailbreak, the community enMTW is "known" for. Some people here were saying enMTW was a "developer"/contributed to this community. He did NOT. All he did was Tweet out that he had a jailbreak, but he NEVER delivered or showed any definitive proof. He was just doing it for the attention, just as he is doing this for attention. I'm only saying this because he is not a reputable source that you should rely on. If he had shown ANY proof/contributed even 1% of what he claimed, I would stand corrected, but this guy is NOT known to give out solutions, he never actually did anything for r/jailbreak and he certainly isn't going to do anything for you guys.

If you went online while playing Sun and Moon, you were banned. If you did not go online playing Sun and Moon, you were not banned, especially if you had turned Wi-Fi off. If you had the .cia installed and you had Wi-Fi on but you were playing another game, you were not banned. They can't ban based on Activity Log, as previous users have stated that developers/IGN reviewers had access to the cartridge as well. If you have the .cia installed, I would suggest uninstalling it, testing your online capabilities, and if you were not banned then I suggest you should not go on any Wi-Fi services until Friday's release. Hope this helps anyone. And please, do NOT listen to enMTW I am speaking from experience in the Jailbreak community.

Same, I have a living dex that I worked on from gen 4 and 5, transferred to 6 and worked on from there, I need it back, Ive learnt my lesson nintendo please. I also have several hundred dollars worth of eshop purchases over the years..
