Nintendo Direct announced for the 4th of August, set to feature 20 minutes of the new Fire Emblem game

With the latest entry to the Fire Emblem series, Fortune's Weave, set to launch in September, Nintendo have today announced a new Nintendo Direct to put it soundly in the spotlight. Featuring 20 minutes of new information about the game, it'll hopefully get people suitably excited for the upcoming release.

The Direct is set to go live at 3pm tomorrow, and will be available via the usual channels. If you're wanting a direct link, you can find the UK stream linked above, and the US stream linked as the source below.

It’s the gbatemp way
Though even that’s starting to not be enough for the people that virtue signal, some of them come around eventually though
Honestly I'm ignoring it because man, I want to keep my mental health safe.

The hate is everywhere though, it's... startling. I might not like somethin' but I don't just go around actively shitting on it. I just don't... like it. That's it.

Yep, and to be fair not every Fire Emblem game is a banger, but people choose to hate something before even being able to judge it on its own merits. With no nuance and for no reason.

OK let see what we have! And give us a demo this time jeez...
I just hope they will show us how they have learned from Engage mistakes and combined the good parts of Three House and the others titles before cause if not....I dont think I will forgive this time..

Has anyone else barely thought about this game since it was first announced? I’m not trying to be negative, if it ends up looking good then I’ll probably buy in, it’s just that I can’t remember having a single thought about it since seeing the first trailer.

Announcing it to be shown on the same day as the announcement sure is something. Does Ninty do this commonly? Cuz it's quite bizarre to me.

They announced it the day before, which is fairly common.
Ohh. I must have missed it then. Seeing your post, I assumed they announced it like few hours ago. My bad.

Personally never got into the series (I do have DSi XL and N3DSLL, so I coooooooould try some out eventually tho), but may take a look. Hope it will end up good for the fans.

Oh, come on. Take a movie you have disliked more than any other movie in your life. Or a band that you absolutely cannot stand to listen to. Now make a sequel to that movie. Are you going to watch it or are you automatically going to avoid it because you though the first one sucked? Or the music. You dislike all of this bands music, everything they've ever released, 17 albums worth and you hate all of it. They release a new album. Are you jumping for joy and rushing to check it out just because it's their NEW album and not one of the 17 older ones? I very highly doubt you have never said anything like "Nah. That band sucks." or "Nope. I can't stand those games." I wager you've made very similar statements many times in your life, before even being able to judge things on their own merits.

That said. Fire Emblem sucks.

WTF was that?
Why did they choose to spoil the game time jump and main protagonist existence...I
Is the story so poor without that part to share already or what?
Now I regret watching this jeez...

Very interesting.

I'm still getting it, and I like what they showed...

I guess my only issue is that it feels... like, TOO MUCH? Reserving full judgement fer release.

I kinda thought this as well, but looking at the summary for the Direct, the time jump is literally right at the start of the game. Watching the Direct I thought that there would be a five year time skip that happened there, but it seems like you start in the future and go back in time as your first action. So in the grand scheme of things that doesn't actually spoil much.

Doesn't the direct itself imply its in the 2nd half of the game?

It's not very clear to be fair. Given the format of using the goddess powers to travel back in time to change the fate of the heroes though, it wouldn't make sense for you to have played as them beforehand. In my mind the game starts with the downfall, and you go back in time through each route to bolster forces as you choose (or avoid this entirely, which is an interesting choice in itself).
