I just got online in MK7 no problem and I've been playing offline since the day it leaked, AND I'm on FW version 11.2. I doubt those claims are legit. They prob went online and didn't realize.

I beat the game, tried Mystery Gift, and accidentally hit the trainer plaza or whatever and never got hit with a ban on my spare unit.

Guys, if you never did any of the following:

- Tried Mystery Gift
- Connected online in Festival Plaza
- Online Trade
- Online Battle

Then there is currently no good evidence you will get banned. This may change, but as of yet that is how it is. We don't need people asking "will I get banned if.." 10 times on a single page. If you didn't connect to S/M servers, you're most likely fine.

It's not the using online part (no doubt reviewers are using it right now) but the bad ID on the rom making it prompt for an update. Nintendo sees an attempt to update or that unit online and bans it. There's no excuse you can give.

Looks like it will bypass a hyperban until you reboot the console. Might work? Anyone willing to test for the good of others? (I'm not banned, so whatever, but it would be useful info to many!)

Lucky.
I was wonder trading starters I bred myself at the nursery and I got banned. I must have wonder traded about 30 times between my two save files :/

I didn´t do anything from this list but im Banned. while i played it i deactivated WiFi but for example Smash i have activated it
And i used also the cheat.pgl what deactivates Internet at all

Then you must have done something else to trigger a ban.
There is basically no reason for you to be banned because of S/M if what you say is truth.

i played offline (maybe 2-3 hours) and havent been banned but i wasnt on the latest update at the time of playing .

Just tried MK7 myself and got the 002-0102 error.

Were you banned BEFORE trying to go online in MK7? I was NOT banned because, as I said, I only played OFFLINE.

Likely the 3DS firmware update.

Ok so I've restored my ability to play online BUT I'm still banned from the NN.

Here's what I did -

1) dumped LocalFriendCodeSeed_B from one 3DS and injected into the banned one
2) injected a blank nnidsave.bin into the banned 3DS
3) injected a modified secureinfo into the banned 3DS

Edit: using this method here https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-miiverse-custom-image-tool.415505/page-69#post-6787736 will TEMPORARILY remove the NN ban HOWEVER I haven't managed to access the eshop or miiverse using it. I was able to create a new NNID though

Edit: It's been reported that you don't need to mess with your certs.db, I've edited this post to reflect that. Also a better bypass is being worked on, suggest you don't do this one


Edit: YOU DO THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, WE HAVE NO IDEA IF THERE WILL BE NEGATIVE LONG TERM EFFECTS ON THE DONOR SYSTEM OR ON THE BANNED SYSTEM.
