Ok so every game works great except PCE-CD games. I have the bios in the right spot but it still doesn't seem to work. Sega CD games work great so I have no clue what the issue is.
EDIT: Nvm it started working all of a sudden? Then Nes games failed to load... but then started working again lol
EDIT EDIT: lol nope now PCE-CD game aren't working again

New build released. 22nd October 2016.

This updates all cores to the latest nightly and also fixes the VBA Next core so it actaully works now.

EDIT - Some more improvements detailed.

Anyway there's also a fix for glui that was enough bad/almost unusable in the previous nightly and there's a bit of new stuff by libretro devs, basically font refactor now allows to use double text on the menu, you can see it on the video and the audio settings.(wip)

Another good improvement is that you don't get screwed submenus when trying to use the download feature (not working yet), you can get a kind message warning you that the task is failed.

I'm sure more cores will be added gradually over time. I'd like to see Picodrive for 32x emulation.

Sorry for the double post, but it seems you can use music with the PrBoom on the PS3 after all.

This assumes that you already have a recent (hopefully the latest) nightly of RetroArch's prBoom VPK installed. If not, here ya go http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/playstation/vita/

1. Download faithful MP3 conversions of the actual music from http://sc55.duke4.net/games.php#doom
2. Use a batch file rename utility (NOT meaning a DOS style .BAT, just to be clear) to remove the "d_" (minus the quotation marks) from the beginning of each MP3's name.
3. FTP the renamed MP3s over to whatever folder on your Vita you put your Doom IWAD files (making sure that prboom.wad is there as well).
4. Boot your prBoom bubble and the music should Just Work. OPTIONAL: Say thanks if this enhances your experience, please

The above guide is intended for the Vita, but I tried it with PS3 Retroarch and it works perfectly.

How is the emulation on the main systems for this? Is it worth tracking down the ROMs, setting up and installing as I already have an OG Xbox that does pretty well but am wondering if the PS3 has better filters, speed etc..

I don't use filters, but speed is much better than the OG Xbox.

As you can see in my signature, I have most of the current exploitable consoles, and the PS3 version of Retroarch is by far my favourite.

Guess I'm going to have to look into this then. First thing I'll need to do however is upgrade my PS3 hard drive.

Also are there precompiled images with all the right rom sets kicking around or is the setup quite flexible for what you insert as I remember the Xbox version only liked certain mame rom sets.

I cannot get playlists to work. I have a MAME.lpl file that has entries like:

/dev_hdd0/roms/mame2003/1944.zip
1944: The Loop Master
/dev_hdd0/game/SSNE10000/USRDIR/cores/mame2003_libretro_ps3.SELF
DETECT
DETECT
MAME.lpl

But when I select the game from within retroarch, it just returns to the retroarch XMB menu. can anyone post some of their playlist files?

thanks!

Someone knows if i can run NEOGEO on Retroarch PS3?

I'm using RetroArch 1.3.6+
I alreade have bios "neogeo.zip" at SSNE10000\USRDIR\cores\system

I'm tried The King of Fighters '97
kof97.zip

Load Content : Select file and Detect Core
Load archive with core : kof97.zip
Tried : Arcade (FB ALPHA) and ARCADE (MAME 2003)

But always get black screen.

Tried :
Load Core : Arcade (FB ALPHA) and ARCADE (MAME 2003)
Load Content : Select File : kof97.zip

But returns to menu

Does it run at all? Or Arcade (FB ALPHA) has nothing to do with neogeo like fbalpha2012_neogeo_libretro does works with 3DS.

Any help?
