For PKHex, what do I use to export/import save and how/what are the steps? I don't have the game yet, will get it on 11/18 :)
Thoughts and help GREATLY appreciated :)

You need a CFW and an app called JSK Save Editor, this will export your save to your SD card for editing and will import it again once you are done

JK's Save Manager should work fine. If you only have Hombrew access there is a .3dsx version too (requires pokebank). Dump your save to your SD card, migrate it to PC via FTP or MicroSD manager or SD reader, Edit save, replace original save with JK's save manager or another manager (keep backups in-case something goes wrong). Actually this link should be fine here. Here's the tut.

CFW + JKSM. Install JKSM as a CIA, go to SD/CIA if downloaded copy or Cartridge if cartridge copy, select Sun/Moon, and follow the onscreen instructions to export your save (choose Save Data Options). Turn off your system, eject your SD card from your PC and plug it into your computer. Open PKheX, go to File -> Open..., navigate to the JKSV folder on your SD card, go to Saves, Pokemon_Sun/Pokemon_Moon, find the save you extracted (should be called main), select your save and hit Open. Make your changes, go to File -> Export SAV... -> Export main.... Find where you have your save stored, override it. Go back to the Homebrew Launcher, select JKSM, Select Sun/Moon, and follow the onscreen instructions to import your save.

JKSM also has a Homebrew version, but you're probably right in needing CFW to get past the PASLR that's most likely implemented.

What CFW do I need? I have A9LH and Luma on my N3DS... will that work for the save extractor?

Just install JKSM as a CIA then.

Homebrew access + JKSM. Find JKSM's thread, download the attached JKSM.3dsx file in that thread, add it to the 3ds folder that should be on the root of your SD card. Get access to the Homebrew Launcher, select JKSM, select Sun/Moon, and follow the onscreen instructions to export your save (choose Save Data Options). He has A9LH, the 3dsx version of anything will slow him down. Use the CIA build of JK's Save Manager instead.

Yeah, I saw that and edited my post.

Where can I get JKSM CIA? Is there a link?

Google search JK_'s Save Manager and find the GBAtemp thread.

Yeah, Google.com has all the Github links straight to the project.
JK_'s GitHub hasn't been updated with the 7/21/16 releases yet.

Those updates haven't been pushed to the master on GitHub because they are all superficial changes. Nothing was done to improve the code if you check for differences.

Another way is to use Visual Studio to compile it. Just open the .sln file and find the "build solution" option on the top menu bar.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2

I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
