hopefully they did find a arm9 exploit. there would be no need to downgrade if that was found, you could install a9lh from 11.1/11.0. But i doubt that, maybe they did find a workaround that doesn't need arm9
Still need the OTP for installing A9LH, at least for the o3DS. So you still have to downgrade to 2.1 for that.

yeah, but the installation could take place on 11.0 if you chopse not to install it when you are on 2.1 + CFW, nand backups, game backups (piracy, not condoning it).

Unless nedwill releases his arm11 exploit we will still have to wait for someone else in the scene to find one, i wouldn't get excited just yet but i'm definitely happy we have something, my sun/moon n3ds is going to be on 11.0 minimum so this is good news for me.
He does have the intention of releasing it. He originally wanted to do it earlier but another (quite famous) coder who found the same thing urged him to hold it until 33c3. So you have two people (at least) who have it and intend to release. I think 33c3 is attractive to hackers because 1. they get more fame and notoriety, and 2. releasing stuff as a tech talk is legally safer than a traditional bin release, and 3. they get to hang out with other hackers and have fun, get drunk.

Can you explain why i wouldn't be calm? lol i don't seem to understand your statement like you know me and all...

Edit: Anyway it is going in a strange way can we just leave this useless argument alone and move to the OP....Thanks
What he said was hypotetical, it was a non-explicit "when"... Nintendo says console is dead. Exploits are relared... Not that hard to understand at all...

someone has to be keeping a secret arm9 exploit for EoL
Imo, I doubt it. Nintendo can push out updates as they like, probably even after it's seemingly EoL. Like someone said before (was it you? Sorry if it was lol) they could come back with a major "stability" patch and remove all arm9 exploits after they've been released.

That was me. It happened for the DS when it hit EoL, and I expect it to happen again WHEN the 3DS hits EoL.

<snip>
So that i understand, theres a way to install field runners to 11.0+ 3ds so you can downgrade w/o a 2nd hax 3ds as long as you have an entry point?
