Unless nedwill releases his arm11 exploit we will still have to wait for someone else in the scene to find one, i wouldn't get excited just yet but i'm definitely happy we have something, my sun/moon n3ds is going to be on 11.0 minimum so this is good news for me.

Yellows8 comment on github:
Actual dsiwarehax installation finally works properly.
But
Eventually a release-archive containing the app + the required DSiWare exploits should be released.
So I guess we still have to wait for an instruction.

Instructions + the exploit is needed, we have the app already someone could compile that can inject dsiware saves but we still need the arm11 exploit for it to work.

So basically
1. When 3DS reaches EoL, soundhax and an arm11 kexploit will be out surely.
2. Might be accompanied with an arm9 exploit.
3. If the arm9 exploit does not come out, downgrades still would be possible because now you can use arm11 kexploits to install DSiWareHax.
4. Anyhow, installation for a9lh would become easier on any fw version (even 11.0+) .

I am Lovin it

Definitely good news! No more fiddling with system transfers and worrying about it.

When the DSi was "EoL" we still got a buttfuck from Nintendo.

Unless of course Nintendo fixes the FIRM downgrade oversight, which is ridiculously easy and should have been done already.

Just wait for Sun and Moon to come out, give it a year for all the events and such, then Nintendo NX Switch comes out, and only then will the 3DS reach its end.

I expect this to happen again. Nintendo says 3DS is EoL. All known exploits get released, then Nintendo says "Wait, we got this one last stability patch we gotta get out!" and it ruins everything.

Where do you see that Nintendo 3ds is EOL??? , it is not..... they are making a new green new 3ds xl i don't think this is the end probably mid-end we still got 1-2 years of 3ds content added and maybe 1 years transiting eshop on new handled coming next to NS, because it is safe to assume Nintendo never confirmed and i hope not , that 3ds is EOL please....people it is not because Nintendo Switch is a handled that it is the end of 3ds....are you people sick or it is just the nintendo "i think what i read on internet is true" fever?

Just check what he says... he clearly affirms that Nintendo 3ds is EOL...

No, he did not.

I expect this to happen again. Nintendo says 3DS is EoL.

See where he says "I expect this to happen again?" Like in, anticipating the future?

Learn some English grammar before being all butthurt.

dsi saves are stored in NAND, so it can only be accessed with arm9. arm11 does not have the permissions needed. the only way this would work is with some type of arm9 exploit.

i just don't see how this would be possible without arm9

Well maybe it is like Dsiware downgrade? just into the save file so you can downgrade from there then you could access arm9!

but in order to put in the save file, you need arm9. dsi saves are not like regular 3ds saves. 3ds saves requires userland because it doesn't need access to nand, dsi saves are stored in nand so you need permission to access it (arm9)

Ask Yellow8 and Smea ....those guy are the brain behind this ...maybe they found a work around of some sort it is working like dsiware downgrade but you need HBL , fieldrunner(maybe) and your'e good no need of another 3ds , it gonna only downgrade your 11.0-11.1+ to 9.2 then you can access arm9loader i think!

hopefully they did find a arm9 exploit. there would be no need to downgrade if that was found, you could install a9lh from 11.1/11.0. But i doubt that, maybe they did find a workaround that doesn't need arm9
