Hello Guys.

So, after reading many times the DSiWare downgrade method tuturial I saw that it says that I can use it using an Emunand on 3DS #1. I have a O3DS with A9LH + Luma with no Emunand. If I create an emunand, is there any problem related to the NNID that I have linked on my Sysnand 3DS #1? Also, is there any other precaution to do if I'm doing this method using Emunand instead of Sysnand?

Thanks in Advance.

You don't need emunand. Use a sysnand and a dummy nnid and you'll be fine. I believe in the guide its all sysnand steps but I'm not sure. If you want to use emunand then create a dummy nnid or just buy fieldrunners on there without nnid. And no nothing will happen

I know that I don't need an Emunand, but I don't want to transfer my Sysnand because I have there too much things and some games that I bought tlegally, so I don't want to risk to lose them. Ok, when my friend buy her 3DS I will do it. Thanks for helping me.

That's why you use a faux NNID and make a NAND backup of 3DS#1 BEFORE the transfer. Then you can restore the backup with decrypt 9 after formatting and re-linking your original NNID. You won't lose anything.

You won't be able to relink the original NNID, every NNID linked to a system gets moved whether it's the active NNID or not.

OP, if you're doing this with O3DS + O3DS you can do a system transfer back after 7 days. If O3DS + N3DS your stuff will be stuck on the N3DS except that you can get your bought games back by calling Nintendo and requesting the NNID be linked back to the source console (data won't come back).

It let me sign back into mine after doing it. Guess I should have made a video.....Lol I've only ever used ONE NNID for purchases, made a faux one for the transfer, did a format, transfer, format, restore NAND and my original NNID works just fine.

I haven't experienced it myself, so, I believe you! I'm sure it says on Nintendo's website that they will all get transferred... So a bit confusing! :-/

I was telling someone else it seems like you might be able to have two NNID tied to each console serverside but only able to use ONE of them at a time without a system format. Assuming you aren't trying to use that same NNID on another DS, it shouldn't matter if it's tied to the server on two devices as you can only link it on one of them either way. I think it needs a lot of testing, lol.

Maybe if you never sign in with it on the other console it doesn't officially move. Maybe that protects against failed transfers?

That would make sense, because I never signed into the transferred NNID, just the one that was originally tied to the transfer console after formatting.

If that one guy in Portsmouth decides he wants me to do it, I'll test it again then. Lol :D
