Great work. Without otp im just curious can you get a9lh on 9.2 using homebrew .3dsx Great to see 3ds scene live.

Arm9 access? Well, still no for a Korean New 3DS
(Korean New 3DSes started with 9.3...)

9.3 has the same good old arm9 exploit 9.2 has. 9.4 as well. The only reason we go to 9.2 is Because it has the more stable arm11 kernel exploit memchunkhax(1).

In theory we can fairly easily get arm9 on 9.3-9.4 by using memchunkhax 2 to get kernel then executing the old arm9 exploit. They never actually fixed that till about 9.5

Whenever I launch SafeA9LHInstaller from the Homebrew Menu I get stuck on a non responsive black screen, and I can't press select to start the installation. I just successfully followed the downgrade guide from 11.1.0.34 and I'm on a N3DS. Anyone know what I need to do?

On which firmware are you right now?

I downgraded according to the guide to 10.4, but it still shows as 11.1.0.34, as it says it should. 3DSident shows the proper firm and kernel versions.

did you even read the OP? You need to be on 9.2, which the guide walks you through...

I didn't see the 9.2 part, however I can't seem to find the part in Plailect's guide on downgrading to 9.2. I am using the second 3DS method, could that be the reason? Again, I am sorry for not seeing this sooner, its been a long day of trying to figure this out.

2) After installing A9LH, I can use EmuNAND9 to extract the EmuNAND and then just inject it in the SysNAND and be done, right?

So, is there any benefit of reinstalling A9LH on my console using this new method without OTP (which I obviously already extracted)?
I ask this because I usually update my A9LH, LUMA3ds...to latest version, so I have the latest available version of A9LH prior to this OTP-less one.

Lol. Was entirely too lazy to install A9LH onto my other Galaxy n3DS XL. Downgraded it to 9.2.20 U and was too lazy to deal with the 2.1 downgrade.

You don't even need to wipe anything. If you were running a emunand to play your games (and also has a n3ds) you just need to put the necessary files on the SD, then boot into your sysnand, get to homebrew menu by the way of your choice and then run SafeA9LHIstaller and press select. I've got a black screen on the first run both times I've used this method, but just reboting and trying again worked for me. Also I'd recommend deleting menuhax since it's a bit buggy and you won't need it anymore

So technically, could I just do this and hold SELECT on boot and set it to use EmuNAND and have everything like before except 100% bootrate? I know people suggest moving EmuNAND to SysNAND, but I can do that later right?

it is included in the data_input zip file provided in the guide itself. The bullet should say "a9lh folder".
