Hacking Games with req FW 3.61

i bought darkest dungeon and after the preload when I click the bubble it says it needed Firmware 3.61 .

I had a similar problem with Downwell. It forced me to upgrade to 3.60, but it actually wasn't a big deal because that's the firmware revision compatible with Henkaku.

Pretty good idea to list all the games that require later firmwares, though. I thought about getting the Day of the Tentacle remake, but if it forces an upgrade, I'll pass.

Strange. Day of tentacle works for me but require a net save and not let the game start in the airplane mode. I dont even try enable my network. Ius the same error for you or it calls a 3.61 message?

It's almost as if Sony blocking Henkaku with their latest firmware has actually caused people to not buy newer games for their system, either through their digital storefront or in physical format, further incentivizing piracy and exacerbating the problem they claim to be trying to fix.
But that would be ridiculous.

This is...SAD... I'm running HENkaku on my 2 PS Vita systems, I have lots of games bought mostly on PSN and even tho now I could pirate games instead of buying them... I haven't... have kept buying all the games that I want instead...

I refuse to update my systems and lose HENkaku access, why would Sony not take my money anymore?

Now that I think about it... They are probably (obviously) doing it because they don't want people to dump newer games and upload them to filesharing websites so other people can pirate... One person buys/dumps and tousands play it, usually that's how it usually works.

And once again piracy ruins it for everyone

Yes it's possible but only dumped games runs on 3.60 with HENkaku

The encryption has efficitively changed. Nothing we can do from user/kernel.

I cancelled my pre-order of lumo physical after it was delayed for a 2nd time for this reason. If it requires 3.6 or below I'll order it again after its released.

This is way too easy to actually work, that's not an actual way to bypass encryption lol
