What's going to happen after all 26 of these games are released? We in NA, only need Mega Man X2&X3 and then all of the planned games are released. What about other games like Super Mario RPG and ActRaiser? Those two games get the least amount of releases and are the hardest to re-released compared to the basic ones like Super Mario World and F-Zero. It's a real shame, too because ActRaiser hasn't been re-released on the Virtual Console, outside the original Wii. Not even Japan has it, yet. I'm still waiting for more SNES games, like these:

Super Mario All-Stars (This was released on the Wii as a disc, but that was a waste!)
Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (There is the GBA version on the Wii U VC and 3DS Ambassadors)
Star Fox
Wario's Woods (Superior to the vanilla NES version)
ActRaiser 2 (They took out the city building gameplay elements, boo!)
Soul Blazer
Illusion of Gaia
Pac-in-Time (Better than the mediocre Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures)
Ms. Pac-Man
Super Bomberman
Super Bomberman 2

Let's also not forget the ones on the Wii and Wii U VC:

Super Mario RPG: Legend of The Seven Stars
Kirby Super Star
Kirby's Dream Land 3
Kirby's Avalanche
ActRasier
Aero The Acrobat
Aero The Acrobat 2
Ogre Battle: March of The Black Queen
Axelay
Cybernator
Demon's Crest
Castlevania: Dracula X
Gradius III
Super R-Type
R-Type III: The Third Lightning
Duris Twin
Metal Marines
Pac-Attack
Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures
Harvest Moon
Wild Guns
Natsume Championship Wrestling
Super Adventure Island
Super Adventure Island II
Super Bonk
Genghis Khan II: Clan of The Gray Wolf
Romance of The Three Kingdoms IV: Wall of Fire
Nobunaga's Ambition
Uncharted Waters: New Horizons
Vega Stakes
Final Fantasy II
Final Fantasy III
Final Fantasy: Mystic Quest
Chrono Trigger
Secret of Mana
Breath of Fire
Breath of Fire II
Super E.D.F.: Earth Defense Force
The Ignition Factor
Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Ghoul Patrol
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior
Brawl Brother
Rival Turf
The Contributes
Prince of Persia
DoReMi Fantasy: Milon's Doki Doki Adventure

some games like "Super Mario RPG" will probably never be officially released on 3DS since they use special chips like "Super FX", which I think are more powerful than the SNES itself. given the current SNES VC games can lag already, these would just be unplayable.

Then how the hell did Mega Man X2 and X3 get released? They used special chips, too!

I don't know, but each game can use different kinds of enhancement chips. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Super_NES_enhancement_chips#Cx4 for X2 (and maybe X3, didn't check)
I actually manage to run SMRPG on my phone, about 2 years ago and beat it, without any lag whatsoever! Not only that, the sound effects weren't glitchy either and there were no graphical issues with the graphics, backgrounds, or layers. It played just like it did on the Wii and Wii U but on a small phone.

The phones have like a PowerPC processor and the 3DS only has an ARM9 processor, right?
you tell me, each phone is different. I don't think phones would be using PowerPC though.

still doesn't really mean anything, different architectures/emulators/etc and things make it hard to compare your phone to 3DS.

I think the NX will have a powerful enough processor to run SMRPG and KSS. They probably won't show up on the 3DS and the NX is just around the corner and is "rumored" to be a console/handheld hybrid but it hasn't been confirmed.

Those 26 SNES games were only released, so they could tie us over until the NX comes out. I do think the NX will be a console/handheld hybrid since Nintendo is releasing DS VC games on the Wii U and SNES games on the N3DS.

the thing with vc is, its a licensing nightmare when you go beyond original nintendo ips. and nintendo by now has a good measure of which games sold good on the wii, so they probably dont go for the bad selling ones at all

Isn't Mario RPG on Wii VC?

I'm sure someone tried to inject it. I wonder how that went.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
