Homebrew Any Idea when 11.0 can be BROKEN???

Isn't really smart, because if you fail to downgrade, you'll have to upgrade to 11.1.

It's not like waiting until the next firmware update will "preserve" the exploit, the 3DS is confirmed to be going on until at LEAST 2018.

But you wouldn't need to downgrade anymore if another arm9 kernel exploit was found (except for A9LH of course, but there's not much chance of that failing)

I really don't get people's refusal to do a hardmod. I've done the hardmod and it was pretty easy. People have gotten way too spoiled with all these "softmods" over the years.

If you want CFW, pick up a soldering iron and spend 30 minutes with youtube learning how to use it. You don't need a degree in electrical engineering.

They are afraid to send their console to some guy for a week or so, and you really shouldn't spend 30 mins learning how to solder before you try to do a 3ds hardmod.

The concern isn't that it's hard, but that if you screw up, you just lost $160

Enough man... Get another 3DS???!!!! Spend a few more $???!! Just to hack my first 3DS??!!!! Hardmod???!!!! And beg others for their 3DS???!!!!! I'm NOT so dumb to waste money just to downgrade my 3DS... I'll better wait till a fix is done rather than ending up screwing my 3DS!!!

On one hand I just hate the fact that I was a dumbass who updated his 3DS without knowing the seriously terrible disadvantages of it. And on the other, I love my 3DS for what I can do with it. And I plan on just getting a 3DS Flashcart (like Sky3DS+) if my dreams of piracy by installing CIAs (which require downgrade to 9.2) cannot be fulfilled.

So I'm just gonna calm down and wait a few months for a fix, not stressing any hackers out there who're trying to fix up this shit.

Change "fail to downgrade" to "accidentally update to 11.2".

I forgot that, but still it doesn't make much sense to save it when there still will be updates for years.

If you want a exploit so bad, why don't you just make it yourself if you are so knowledgeable that it is "just" a matter of this simply making one?

I wonder why there is a sudden influx of users that happen to have 11.0 3DS systems that want it exploitable. The 3DS has been out since 2011, homebrew wasn't a thing till around 2014 so if anyone had a genuine interest in the scene they would of jumped onboard when 11.0 is only 4 months old, not to mention how affordable a hardmod is to using a flashcart yet they choose to not take it.

I agree with most users that kids are too spoiled these days, even more so in the name of piracy.

I think that part of it is the flock of 10.x people who were too afraid to downgrade during the huge window of "softbrick and just try again", then softbricked and had to go to 11.0. Then the rest of them are kids who bought a new console because they were cheap I guess, and think that we don't keep stuff up to date?

Its generally 2 years, give or take, between kernal exploits. But as the platform ages, and the scene hackers become more proficient and familiar with the in's and out's of the system, that window should shrink.

Get a used 3DS or 2DS on 10.7 or below and mod that to transfer the DSiWare exploit or get the 3DS hardmodded.
